Albeit a little stressful. Hoping for new plans to arrive in the next few days
62p Tilly tidy as had some funds left over in one of the bills account. Managed to top up current account with £10 too. Also need to do some further shuffling to get architect bill paid as will also need to submit a cheque to planning if we ever get to that position.
Dh been sent home from work unwell, he isn't as resilient as the rest of us. He did look poorly though so he has been sent back to bed. Hoping it's not a long illness!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Oh dear, hope he feels better soon.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Thanks newgirly, he slept all day. Good job he set his alarm to collect the children! He will be off again tomorrow. I really think from a health point of view he needs to drop a day but it wouldn't work from an employer's point of view. I definitely think it needs exploring again as time goes on.
I am shattered today! DS woke me at 3:45am and we were both awake since. Cue him having a mammoth breakdown after school due to tiredness. I haven't had a tantrum but am pretty shattered :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am really ready for the weekend, work is busy and stressful and I need a day off!
Have managed well with food spends, not done a big shop for a couple of weeks so have an online delivery tomorrow.

sorry to hear about the neighbors, but id feel the same i wouldn't want to proceed if i knew it would cause issues down the line.
It will work out for the best, as someone else said it may seem awful when you're going through it but everything happens for a reason.0 -
I have never been so relieved to see Friday; I am absolutely exhausted!
Dh had 2 days off work sick which he won't get paid for. This is one of the few times I am relieved he is on monthly pay as he will try and balance it over the month. I 'think' this was a 5 month payday so that will lessen the blow! He isn't 100% but a lot better than he was.
Done some money shuffling as dh going to architects later to pay the bill so far and check where they are up to with the new plans. Will need to work out some totals later to see exactly what we have left. Swimming subscriptions of £80 are also due. I also need to chase up about piano lessons so that will be further expense. Wow children are expensive!!

Its the weekend!! :j
Planning a glass of flavoured sparkling water to celebrate!
Architect plans 'should' be ready on Monday but that feels so far away! Payment can then be submitted swiftly followed by council fees if plans satisfactory. Piano lessons booked, dd tells me she played for the children in breakfast club this morning as there is a piano in the hall. She would have been in her element.
Resisted urge to buy wine which equals £9 money saving. Need to set a tight budget for next 2 weeks.
Happy weekend!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Thanks mortgage girl, its not bad so far. Managed to run nearly 5 miles earlier which set me up for the day. Didn't enjoy it particularly but I've not eaten well this week, it was raining and I'm exhausted! Pleased my pace was just over 9 minute miles. I need to do that to run a 2 hour HM but I doubt I can maintain that pace!!
Car passed its MOT!! :j that's not happened for a while first time. Just need to keep an eye on one of my tyres which will replace after payday.
Architrct plans should be ready Monday. I am feeling so impatient now. Just want to be able to get quotes and progress. Monday is not too far away though.
Its a dreary old day here so we have had a mix of housework, helping ds write letters and recognising phonics and playing cluedo with Dd. We have even had a bit of Roald Dahl in the mix! Made a spinach, grape and pineapple juice but haven't got as far as drinking it which really isn't the idea!
£9 spent on 2 c0-0p frozen deals using a £1 off voucher. Trying to keep spends low as income is scarce!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
