Thanks goldiegirl, we have just booked to go back for a break next Christmas. A bit extravagant but it really was so magical and a brilliant place to be with the children. I imagine some great memories will be made which is what it is all about :)

Filled up DH car yesterday and whilst we cannot control fuel spends I have set a budget of £200 so we know what we are spending overall. Any savings need to be put to good use this month and I definitely need to stop using the cc after payday!

In other news, we had a viewer yesterday and as the agents were busy I showed them around. I think it went really well so without getting my hopes up too high, am hoping for some positive feedback.

So, today is a day of swimming lessons, decluttering, reading homework and maybe board games and hot chocolate. That sounds like a pretty perfect Sunday to us :)

Thank you. That would be good wouldn't it SHS! When we bought this. The vendor wanted to complete a few days before Christmas. We didn't end up moving in until end of January.

We have been really productive today, swimming lessons were great, dd looks ready to move up as she seems (to me) to be doing all the skills expected of her. DS ended up with a fabulous lesson as there were only 2 children and there are always 2 instructors so basically had an individual lesson. I think they adapted it as did lots on building confidence and DS swam a very short distance with no float/aids :)

Observed the 2 minute silence with the children and feel proud that they seemed to understand why. Both have requested to wear their poppies to school. DH and I have been incredibly productive, there are full length fitted wardrobes in one of the bedrooms and we have thrown away about 4 bin bags of rubbish and 2 big bags have gone to the charity shop. It has taken a couple of hours which shows how time consuming decluttering is! Feeling shattered now despite having a hot chocolate with dd.

DH is going to make roast lamb dinner and then we need to meal plan for the week. Hoping for a very low spend week.

Am going to wait for feedback before making any financial plans. I really have got my hopes up and a little ahead of myself so may need a reality check!

Thank you. Wasn't a bad old weekend, meter readings submitted so need to check we are on track with usage. Current accounts checked - its currently damage limitation until payday.

I had a quick look online last night at tablets for the children for christmas. The £50 kindle seems the best buy at the moment. I have that amount in my am4zon account and not sure I will get a better deal so may order that this evening. Dd also wants one slim hoping she will think its an I-pad as that's what she has put on her list. I was relieved to see some traditional games on there too :) I have never been so late in starting my shopping!

Busy week ahead which will be a shock to the system after half term and then a holiday! Parents evening for both children amd eye tests for dd amd myself this week. I've been getting quite a lot more floaters so hoping all is ok as just a routine check. Dd was recalled after 3 months so am hoping her eyes are no worse as they increased her prescription last time.

Time to get Monday out of the way :)
