My run app is set to km's but I've just changed it to miles as I am really curious to know my mile speed. I've always worked in km but think will find it easier in miles to work out how I am doing to enter another HM.

I really need to keep up the momentum and get out for a run at least twice a week. Won't be so easy once Winter arrives! The clock change will be bad enough as I will have to run in the dark after work!

We have had a fab family day. Have been to swimming lessons and the children are coming on so well. We then went to a local event which had a production which the children absolutely loved! Dinner has been a random meal using what is left in the fridge! Not our usual standard of food on a Sunday! :rotfl:

Cakes made to go in lunch boxes this week as children at holiday club. Not 100% healthy but I am convinced there will be less sugar in them than there is in some fruit juices and yoghurt coated fruit pieces etc.

£4.22 left of food budget after a small top up shop today. We need to last until Saturday on this or I won't meet my challenge!!
However, we have plenty of bread, fruit bowl is full. So it should last, I no longer drink endless cups of coffee etc!

A ready for a relaxing evening, dd is off to a friends to watch a DVD shortly and we have played clued0 this afternoon so hoping for some quality 1-1 time with DS.

Have also done some very quick mortgage calculations! If nothing changes house wise and we increase our OP to £300 (very feasible as nursery used to cost more than this) we could be MF in 9 years. I would be 42 and DH 47. This also shows us that a bigger mortgage should we move isn't as scary as that one would be cleared in a standard time rather than very early! DH seemed very on board with this too!

    Always worth baking :)
Thanks SHS, don't feel very inspiring - my mortgage is reducing veeeerrrry slowly but trying to balance it with other things.

Had to get fuel yesterday which has put us over the £400 budget, I had just been thinking about food!

Chased up voucher from an absolutely awful broadband and telephone provider. Received the wrong advice last month, have patiently waited for 30 days for it to arrive. Apparantly now the right paperwork has done I will receive it in the next 30 days. It's that bad I know the exact day my contract expires, it's imprinted on my brain and I can't wait to leave!!

Have also chased up a £50 amazon voucher, that will be here by thursday apparently!

Chldren had a fantastic day yesterday, they were with a friend whilst I worked and were worn out last night! Makes me sad I am working half term but we have next week together :)

Really noticed the differenc in the clocks change when driving home yesterday, not sure how I will manage to run after work? We are managing to just have the heating on for an hour a day in the week as the house remains warm in the mornings. It's on for a couple of hours at the weekend which I don't think is too bad at this point in the year.

Got to keep going with all the small things.

  • I agree its important to stick with the small things, baking sounds yum. We're noticing the clock change as well, very dark when we got in at half 5 boo! I've been a little slack with the heating, as don't like to be cold, but managed without it the last two days and my house has stayed surprisingly warm

At least it's fairly mild at the moment Sarahevie.

Trying to find the positives this morning in being awake since 3:30am and up since 5:30am. Had a stressful day yesterday and my mind was racing so i couldn't fall back to sleep :( considering I have greatly reduced my caffeine intake I fear a long tiring day ahead! Bath, book and early night is already sounding appealing!

However this morning, I have managed to mop kitchen, utility and bathroom floor and put a big basket of washing away.

The children have their pumpkins and inspired by Newgirly amd posters on her thread am going to try carving using stencils for the first time this year! Our freehand ones just don't cut it anymore!

Account looking ok but wages have depleted very quickly this month since I paid so much off the cc. Why does everything seem to work on paper but not as well in reality?

NSD yesterday, resisted the urge to pop to c0-0p for 5pm bargains as I would have just bought comfort food (due to stressful day) since ive also tried to stay off wine! Have had wine twice this month, just a large glass or two each time. I really should be a picture of health at the moment! Aiming to get back to doing shred twice a week over the Winter, that will be the true test! :rotfl:

  • Morning Cath, tiredness is awful, I hope you manage to get some rest soon. We had a little visitor in our bed at 3am in the form of a very wriggly DS, lots of tea needed today!

I try to only have wine at the weekend now, but sometimes it doesn't quite go to plan.... :):)

    Have a lovely day xx
