Wow i'm tired today! Could it be the result of a late night or the comedown from all the house stress or due to the cold I've got. I just know I could fall asleep right now!
    ....

Cath, it could be any one of your options or it could just be the freezing temperatures. ;) My hibernation gene has kicked in big time so I don't want to go out and have been feeling tired all week.

And your decision on moving seems to me as a latecomer to be you being your sensible self. We updated our kitchen last year and the difference is amazing. Enjoy looking at and making plans for your home.

    All the best,

  • Hope you got some more onepoll later in the day. I logged on about 6ish and had 3 x 15p ones waiting for me so they may still be there.

Hope my car starts too. I only half dug it out today before the kids wanted to come back in.

Car started fine :jOnly problem is DD needs to go to our friends tomorrow and it is snowing heavily there! Barely anything here yet we're only 18 miles away - very odd!

Think I have won DH round to staying, he said 'let's enjoy having money' and I totally agree!

Am sat here with the extension plans and they really are fantastic! The options are endless!

My dream kitchen could be closer than I think :)

Cath it sounds exciting that you are staying and just think of all the good plans you could have now for rejigging where you are. I would love to put a sunroom/playroom at the back of my house or extend into the loft etc.
I do look at house prices etc and even moving back to my home town but I know I couldnt deal with the stress and upheavel of it all on my own and my house isnt that bad for us really.

Good luck with the house plans :) I think you are making the right decision.

Michelle, meant to say that I did catch those surveys on onepoll, it had been a but slow up to then hadn't it! i'm still not at £35 so payout probably 2 weeks away. It has rained here today and washed most of the snow away so even if it doesn't look as pretty it is a bit easier to drive in!

I really need to get on with setting some targets for next years savings/overpayments. Like a few of you I would really like a money neutral christmas next year especially if we will be a family of 4 then.

There are possibly changes happening at work and lots of rumours flying around so I think we may be moved to where we are needed! Am going to speak to manager where I know there are vacancies as I would rather work somewhere I want to than be dumped somewhere! Thankfully I do have a permanent contract!

Not much planned for this evening apart from x-factor and an early night. Have a niggling headache that doesn't want to leave!

Don't! I'm trying to think of reasons not to let DH drive new car, so it stays car shaped for longer!!

The planning ia quite exciting and nowhere near as stressful as taking on bigger mortgage and upheavel of moving. Was talking to someone today about gas fires and i didn't think we could have one as no proper chimney and can't have outside flue as garage is on other side. I hadn't realised you could run a flue along the skirting to an outside wall. Was at a friends the other night who had a stunningly toast gas fire! Think i need to go window shopping for one of them!

  • You can also get a power flue I think that goes straight out of an outside wall.

Thanks grateful, it would only need to be about 6 feet to reach front of house.

I really hope DD settles well this evening, I am exhausted.

I mentionned to a friend something about my blood sugars (i'm not diabetic but sometimes they are low and it makes me feel unwell), she said it sounds like reactive hypoglycaemia so I googled it - i think that's it! Had an episode this afternoon, not nice at all. Would feel so silly going to the doctors about it though.
