It's the weekend! :jHoping to have some form of day out today as rain forecast for tomorrow.

DH requested wine on my commute home last night so popped for that and a chicken which will feed us all week. I am not kidding, it feeds the 4 of us for 4 days!

    Food - £266.76
    Petrol - £169.79

DH needs petrol but costs should remain at around £450 for the month. I don't think that's too bad for food, petrol, toiletries, cleaning products. My AL will see petrol costs lower so may set a challenge for next month. One of us is at home every day aswell so we could really meal plan, bake etc. Meat delivery delayed so that will kick off next months budget.

DH picked up a few birthday presents yesterday from Arg0s, i scoured the website for cheap presents. Have managed to get good gifts which have been reduced to around £2.99 so there is a saving on 3 presents so far. Stocks were limited so the hunt will have to continue!

Have done housework each morning as I have extra time at home. Will run round this morning finishing off what I haven't managed to do.

Not much money news, will have a hunt for tilly tidys or at least try and make some kind of plan.

Ends in a few days Al, no bids so far. Fingers crossed it's only me remotely interested, starting bid of £50 and that's all I want to pay!

It's a piano. No great secret but I reveal so much on here! Have wanted one for a while and dd has expressed an interest in learning to play. Her birthday isn't so far away, we have the room and it's for sale locally so transport shouldn't be a problem.

Any we have been offered in the past have required tuning etc and it felt like a big outlay at that time, fingers crossed we win the auction!

Had a fab day out yesterday. Had a good amount of strawberries and raspberries for about £4. What a shame we can't do this all year round. DH took the children to pick the strawberries and I did the raspberries by myself. It was so peaceful, I really could have been anywhere my mind took me to!

Budget running low, I forgot about swimming lessons. At around £220 a term I need to budget for this monthly as need to pay £110 this weekend. When you have £200 for the month it's a big hit. Think it may be the week for potential certificates at badges at swimming too so more spends there. Will must have to spend nothing until next weekend which isn't an impossibility.

I'm doing my biggest run today, it's a bit of an event but not a race. Really looking forward to it despite the torrential rain forecast. Think I will be drenched after 9.5miles! DH bringing the children after swimming to meet me at the finish line :)

This afternoon, legs permitting I need to sort out DS clothes. Did a lot yesterday but DH has dressed him in clothes I have never seen before. Apparently there is a stash in the drawer in his bed! Plan is to free that up for bedding so I can get rid of a basket in our room and potentially sell it. Plan is for any money made on local selling sites to go into the cp pot for activities/treats. :j
