Thank you, bizarrely it eased off today but am taking painkillers to keep it away.
Feeling a bit in limbo as can't make more cc repayments as its a funny month due to DH transition over to monthly pay amd I don't want to leave us short. I can't do anything else now until Friday so will make more payments, do month end figures amd set a target for June. I will also have a clearer idea of spare cash once nursery is finished with.
I will just continue to budget around £500 a month for nursery until then and if it is less I will pay straight off cc. Really don't want this money to get swallowed up so want a clear idea of where it currently goes so can divert to a better use.
I have also managed to streamline our cc from 5 different ones down to 3 and will concentrate on snowballing.
Have another stressful day in work tomorrow which is going to be challenging but then I have another long weekend to look forward to.
Due to working part time this week I have used less petrol and usually by a Wednesday we are desperate for a food shop. Cupboards and freezer still pretty full though so am going to just try and buy exactly what we need. Bought coffee this evening and we won't need anything else until we need wine on Friday!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Well deserved wine at that!0

Thanks Al, our Friday evenings get us through the week. Might start to give it a miss on a Saturday though. Good job I run to burn it off. If there are more than 800 calories in a bottle though I will need to run further/faster!
Trying not to think about work tomorrow and had a nice few hours with dd. so important to have that 1-1 time.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Productive morning so far. Have money left in the bank and DH gets paid tomorrow. Also made my planned balance transfers so can clear and cancel the old cc after the next statement.
Will need a top up shop of fruit, bread and milk later but we haven't needed to do a main shop this week which is brilliant. I really must have made that gammon stretch! :rotfl:
Found an old subtotal of our cc debts from March 2014 after we did the last of the home improvements. Somehow we have paid off over £7000 since then. Just shows what you can achieve on a modest income (I.e., don't spend any money!!)
Quite excited about what we could achieve once the cards are finished and our childcare expenses end. Could make for interesting reading to see what difference paying that money off the mortgage would make.
Have a good day everyone, almost the weekendJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

I've been gone two minutes and you've decimated your CC bills! You're unstoppable Cath!
Looks like Aldi have stopped their vouchers at the mo, we've had a 2 month break. Lidl have started a similar offer, but I'm not so fussed on their food. Will give you a heads up if I see any advertisedknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
