That's the one RT, genius isn't it!

Thanks pavlovs, we looked into those this time as went a few years ago but school holidays were very limited so I couldn't get any dates or parks I wanted. Have been thinking more of a staycation as DH said he's reluctant to go abroad with our two yet.

DH has made us a lovely roast dinner and we have tonnes of leftovers. The fresh potatoes in the veg box were amazing! Going to try 'screaming swede' tomorrow to use that up!

Feeling a bit frazzled after the children being particularly hard work today! They were high spirited babies who are just getting harder!

DH has already put the wine glasses on the side!!!

Bargain hey Newgirly, was meant to be £7 but they had a one off offer, still a bargain at full price.

Children much calmer today, they have swimming on a Sunday so it wears them out. Think we need a Saturday morning activity to achieve the same result! When they are teenagers and I can't get them out of bed or motivated to do anything I will probably think of these busy times!

Almost bought a new dining set as saw an absolute steal! Measured up and at check out realised it's out of stock, bit disappointed now as it was a beautiful oak table reduced from £999 to £99!

Had a quick look at finances as the end of the month approaches and to get to my cc target for the month I need to find another £58. Unless my TCB account suddenly reaches payable this will have to come from what is left out of wages but there's only one payday left! It will be a challenge but I will do it.

More cc repayments made, a combination of Tilly tidy's, NSD's and careful use of money landing in the account. Nursery bill was £100 less than budgeted for which means another £100 automatically knocked off that card as I use it to stooze and get points. I am feeling very much in control of things at the moment.

DH getting regular overtime and I get an incremental rise in a few months.

I'm looking forward to the weekend and end of the month so I can update our WIOTW and see just how well I think we have done this month!

DH payday today with some OT so we will hit our January target which is fab :T The start of the month seemed to go slowly but looking back now, it seems to have flown!

This month we have also had some car repairs and managed to put £150 to one side for a family holiday. We are not big earners and pay hefty nursery fees so I am feeling proud of what we have achieved this month and looking forward to updating figures and getting that WIOTW figure down!

DH did food shop using second Mr A voucher and spent £40.48 which is great considering that included 4 bottles of wine  will meal plan carefully this week again and keep those spends down. Just reminded myself to get a frozen pork dish out of the freezer so fingers crossed that defrosts in time for later. Top up shop should just include fruit and milk.

A local seller has some bargain pyjamas from old Christmas stock so I am wondering whether to buy some in advance. Maybe if I set up a monthly Christmas budget this would make more sense? What do some of you do? Helen I know you're practically sorted!

Best make some plans for February when I am back with updated figures.

I did it!! JANUARY TARGET REACHED!

Can you tell I'm pleased? This morning has been a bit spends buying things we couldn't get off shopping list, needed printer ink and off out again now for a treat for DD she has wanted for ages.

When I get a quiet moment with a coffee later I will update my sig and make plans for February. According to my spreadsheet, if I can OP by another £8 the mortgage will start with 93 in March. That's got to be worth finding!

Anyway, all have a fab Saturday! Sending get well vibes through the forum too, this virus is affecting so many people!

February plan made. I would like to reduce WIOTW figure by another £1000. On top of existing repayment budget this means finding an extra £300 this month.

This could come from a few sources! Reduced nursery fees, increased pay of DH I have never taken into account, reducing food spends. I'm confident we can achieve it. If we could keep going like this all year I'd be over the moon!

DH has been involved in new production ideas with work so we have had lots of freebies this week so a careful meal plan will see us be well fed.

Having a lazy afternoon at home as that icy wind is not pleasant! Wouldn't mind if it was blowing some snow around but we have had barely anything despite being issues several weather warnings!
