I graduated in 2006 and haven't had to make any repayments as yet what with the kids and PhD and I don't intend to. It's cheaper borrowing than our mortgages etc.
    OPs so far £42,139

Trying really hard with surveys at the moment. Goint to give up Toluna once I get to redeem though. Have about 53,000 points and i'm still waiting for the Amazon voucher I claimed 20th August!

Claimed £10 cash from DH's mysurvey.
GTM at 940/1000 - i keep checking on there!
Onepoll has been quite generous aswell.

Had £5 Amazon voucher email from BP.

Trying to declutter playroom but it's not going well!

Cath - not sure what to advise. I OPd on my student loan as I wanted to clear it but it was a lot smaller than yours. Do you need to look at the actual interest rates, compared to things like your mortgage?

Thank you both, I think I might send them £10 a month as that's neither here nor there but does cover interest.

    Hi Cath,

Toluna took ages with my amazon voucher, so I contacted them via there website and they replied with the standard response of they realise its late but awaiting. Magically, not very long after I had the discount code for amazon.

Thanks Stripes, I can't understand why it takes so long.

Bought myself a 2012 diary last week (inspired by Michelle) but feel I can't set any realistic targets at the moment due to my terrible maternity pay.

Can anyone clarify this for me? Apparantly TC don't take into account the first £100 a week of SMP so I would only need to declare the £28 on top of my OMP?

Today is a write off. DH at work all day, baby feeding hourly and DD at a birthday party 2-5pm which I think is an hour too long tbh. Might be tricky if hourly feeds cotinue all day.

Whilst trapped on sofa however I have done a TCB survey, they have also incresed to 72p.

Have decluttered a few items from playroom and made £9.50 in the process.

Could do with some adult company today so hoping that the grand total of 3 mums I know from nursery are at the party. I don't even know the birthday girl or her mum! Somehow need to work out how to prepare/eat lunch with a baby on my lap who will not go down today! DD is wisely having an early nap in preparation for the party!

Need to buy a pumpkin but don't fancy going to supermarket so hoping DH can get one tomorrow or if the c*-*p do them? Luckily we only get trick or treaters on actual Halowe'en, it would drive me mad if they were coming all week.

Its horrible going to a party and not knowing anyone. The parents at my DDs party last week didnt stay as I dont really chat to people at the school (having started there later than everyone else) so dont know them that well. I felt a bit gutted that people didnt stay apart from my best mate but hey ho.
I am supposed to be doing housework, so far just put a load of washing on lol, might get round to other stuff later but have no real excuse other than cold and lazy lol. I know housework wil get me warm but all cosy on the sofa is better!

Well DD thoroughly enjoyed the party and looked very cute in her fancy dress. Saw a mum I knew on the way in which was nice and baby slept the whole time! I couldn't believe how dark it was at 5pm on the drive home though.

DD collided with another child at the party and basically her teeth hit his head. His head was bleeding but her teeth seemed fine, i.e. no blood. When I checked again though she had knocked her teeth. They jut out slightly as she sucks her thumb and one of her front teeth has been pushed back so is not even to the other. It looks ok but you can feel it. I'm just concerned she won't have an even bite now and that will bother her.

Tried my luck on the survey sites this morning but nothing available.

DH off tomorrow so hoping for a nice family day. His working week has dragged since he went back to work. Also need to survive 8 days with no money!

DH had to go into work :( DD was very disappointed but seems perkier now.

Can't believe it's the end of the month! I am going to try and set some targets based on a modest estimation of maternity pay! It can't be any worse than what I have received! :rotfl:

DH has volunteered his tips money to tide us over until TC go in. He also has personal spends left so must be being more careful this month.

Up to 940 points on GTM, if i get to payout soon I'm hoping the cheque will be here before christmas!

Hope dds teeth are ok - they are quite adaptable at that age, glad she is ok.

Poor you with the hourly feeding, hopefully it won't last long!
