Am i right in thinking you have a bugaboo?? My DS was the same with the moses basket and he was a big 'un too, i just used the bugaboo carrycot and put it on floor next to our bed and he slept really well, i think because it had higher sides it helped!?

Yes I do, he's asleep in it now! :)

We did debate whether to take it upstairs and have it on the floor or possibly put it in the cot. Think we'll try it tonight. I don't think it helps that the moses basket is upstairs all day unused and the sheets get cold. He looks very comfy in bugaboo though and tbh babies should sleep well in them when you consider how expensive they are!

I have no idea where my energy is coming from at the moment. I cut the front lawn earlier and I'd normally leave it at that. Instead I emptied all the pots at the front of dead plants etc, weeded and brushed the drive and the path!

DD still not 100%, it is actually quite unpleasant when she sneezes so we have been in all day missing out on the lovely sunshine.

Baby ready to move into 3-6 month babygros - i don't want him to get too big too quick. Sooooo wish I could freeze time.

I had mine in a "sidecar cot" when they were little. Just a normal cot, but with one set of bars taken right off, and the mattress adjusted to be the same height as our bed, and then the cot and the bed pushed together.

It was a godsend with DS. He was a terrible sleeper. He would fall asleep bf and then wake up as soon as I tried to move him or put him down or anything. In the end I used to feed him on a firm flat cushion on my lap, and then when he fell asleep I'd move the whole cushion into the sidecar cot, with him on it, so he couldn't be woken by feeling himself being moved onto a new surface.

  • Useless fact for the day...only 3% of babies are still breastfed at 6 months. Bet it's all us MSErs.

Thanks everyone. Had baby weighed today, in 8 days he has gained 14oz! He's now 10lb 14oz at 2 weeks, am very pleased with our b/f efforts. Grateful, I noticed in his red book today (which has changed) that they ask if still breastfeeding when they have their immunisations. He's 58cm too so according to his growth chart is longer than he is heavy iukwim. Top line for length, second to top for weight.

Interview went really well! They asked barely anything I had prepared but my responses were thorough and seemed well received. Am quietly confident and will hear on Wednesday if the job is mine! Was rather pleased that the manager mentionned a few people hadn't turned up for interview (what a shame!) :D

Now I'm not distracted by interview prep I can get back to money making! Checked bank and TC have kindly deposited almost £32 in there! :)
