I noticed in his red book today (which has changed) that they ask if still breastfeeding when they have their immunisations.
They are supposed to but the silly twits quite often forget.
Not sure what use that knowledge is to them, and the mother probably already knows:rotfl:
You are doing brilliantly, I thought of you twice today (once when I was feeding DS at 5 am:rotfl:) and once when I pulled out a cute velour babygro which it is now cold enough for, but it's too small for the great big geezer baby we have here.
This time round, when he was feeding all the time, I tried having a snack in the middle of the night. Sounds very naughty, but really helped with that feeling that they have drained every ounce of fluid from your body - or is it just me that gets that??Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Awww Grateful. Does DS not sleep through or was that a one-off/early start?
Thanks Pammy, I have done my bit too. Common sense tells me to stop at a 10lber!
No phonecall re: interview as yet. Ring phone...ring!
Only consolation if i don't get it is that I will be off until June whereas if successful I'll be back MUCH sooner.

Just checked in to see if you had heard anything?? Fingers crossed for you. Baby is so good sleeping all that time and just wanting a feed at 3am.
The one thing putting the 'trying again' thing on hold is the fact that a new baby might wake up our current baby (14 months old) Does dd wake up in the night as well?15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

He is pretty good, still sleep for a couple of hours in the evening unless he wants to cluster feed. Only problem is the night feed is taking 1.5 to 2 hours now as he just wants to keep feeding! Am wondering whether to gie him EBM at this time. DH is happy to come down and warm it up.
DD has been waking recently but only because she has had a cough. She is undisturbed by baby tho and him by her.Just popped in to say hello - have just found your diary and have to say you are amazing! Hello Isca, thank you for popping in. Thank you very much. I wasn't like this first time round believe me! It helps that he is an easy baby and second time round I am much more confident. DD is pretty helpful too.
NO interview news. I am taking it that I was unsuccessful so will wait for the rejection letter and then ask for feedback. I felt I gave a good interview but if I didn't score the most points it can't be offered to me. I am disappointed as I want to work there sooooo much but not devastated iykwim. Additionally I can take my full maternity leave now without having to rush back.
DH's paycut has taken effect but is only a £23 (monthly) loss so I think we will survive!
Had letter from TC - we now get loads of help!! I just need to keep an eye that my income is actually going to match up to the estimate. I can work it out when I get paid tomorrow as I am going to be paid equally until June.
Got a few jobs to do today mostly paying bills, submitting meter readings etc. Think I will do a new SOA tomorrow when I know what my wages are going to be.
Hopefully catch up on some diaries later too.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
until you get news you just don't know.. perhaps there is still hope?
Glad that you are not too bothered about it. I have fond memories of my mat leave, seems a million moons away!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I definitely didn't get it - had the letter so I will ring for some feedback in the week. If I hadn't been off at the moment I would have been devastated but the bright side is I stay off until June and don't work nights!
It is so busy here at the moment and the days are flying! Baby 3 weeks old tomorrow and soooo hungry I spend all my time feeding him.
Sold moses basket yesterday, he hasn't really used it and sleeps much better in his bugaboo. Was able to put that money towards a Little Tykes kitchen someone was selling locally. DD does have a kitchen but this one was a bargain (£40) and as it's so big they will be able to play with it together. I also think it's got good re-sale value!
Wages: I thought last months were bad. This month I had a 1/3 of my normal wage as i haven't started receiving SMP, only OMP. Payroll told me they don't pay it until week 9! Would have been nice if someone had told me before I had the horror of checking my bank. Luckily, we can survive due to our new genersous TC entitlement. Can only manage a £50 OP but at least it's something and I can hit my target by the end of the year. SOA will have to wait until I get paid next month.
Survey wise, just about keeping up with Onepoll, mysurvey and GTM.
Right, off to sort out baby's clothes, think he's ready for his 3-6 month stuff.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I think it's a blessing in not-much-of-a-disguise about the job. I was worried about you going back sooner! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Thanks Grateful, I would have had to rush back which would have been horrible, especially with b/f.
Discovered today that we won't have childcare in the week for DD when I go back as childminder doesn't do weekdays (just weekends, after school and holidays). Am hoping that the school nursery do nursery plus or we'll be rather stuck! I know it's ages away but I thought I had it all organised.
Baby been quite unsettled today, not slept for more than an hour at a time and not very happy between his 2 hourly feeds. Am hoping it's a growth spurt. I actually need to have a google and see when they have them so I know what to expect! He gets weighed in the morning, I estimate that at the grand age of 3 weeks he will be about 11lb 8oz. No wonder he is fitting his 3-6 month clothes so nicely!
I need to get organised for christmas. Had bought quite a few presents but have used a few for birthday presents since I bought them so the present box has dwindled quite a bit. Might have a nose on grabbit for inspiration.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
