  • Morning All,

Good luck to all the kids and mums for back to school over the next few days. Hugs to Tru. XX

Weather quite nice here, I am off out in a mo to replant a conifer MIL gave me, into another planter for some decoration at the fence. I have also put a chicken in the SC, but I wasn't really sure what I should do, anyone know how long it should take? The plan is that it will be dinner for the boys tonight, sandwiches tomorrow and curry and fajitas another day. And a pot of soup. Lunch today is stuffed peppers and salad and dinner tonight is the chickend for the boys and baked potato for me. I will do pasta for OH to take to work.

Not much else to report, life if pretty quiet just now. I have a horrible sense of foreboding today though, wonder what's going to happen....

Haven't posted in a long while but am trying to get it back together and hope that by posting again it will help.
Although there is only me, it seems that I lack the 'm' word to get things done.
So as the weather is nice today and I have the day off plans include:
3rd load of washing to be done ( 1 on the line and 2 in machine as we speak)
    Grass cutting to the tip
Pop to Mums with tickets she wanted
    Quick Aldi shop for fruit
    Muffins from Memory Girls thread
    Plan Sept Budget
Start cushion that I keep talking about and don't get round too.

Will report back later on how I have done today.
Hope you all have a great day

Morning all. Nice day here.I am hoping to go to town later for some me time, then pop in to see Aunty at hospital.
DS2 is at the docs,I think some of his eczema has got infected. He's off on holiday next week so wants the rash to be gone.He also waved his passport at me last night-ran out in June and he'd just noticed .Cue a trip to Liverpool tomorrow,I may go with him and look at the shops.I will pick the passport form up from our main post office later. Can't believe the price of passports these days-of course it doesn't help he has to use the premium service.

DS1s car door lock is broken,DH has found one at a scrapyard so has gone to pick it up,as the battery is now flat with messing around with it-they thought it was the central locking thingy at first, but its the actual lock. They only have a small job on today,so luckily are starting later.

Minded my little niece yesterday-we had a lovely time and made a gorgeous choccy cake.Used Mr S basics white and milk choc for the top,I think its 30p,tasted really good. She's not back at school till next Tuesday, but good luck to all the others.

It will be something easy for tea,as I will have been out all afternoon-just don't know what yet, better investigate the freezer.

Tru- sorry to hear about your friend-hugs to you.

Taplady- hope today goes well for you all.

well wishes to the children going to school today!

Well OH has gone back to work today, all packed up, the boys have they pack ups, book bags etc So they off for they first day back at school.

The house is strangely quiet, first time i've been on my own since our friend died, and i'm fighting the tears already. Told the school everything about that's happened so they said they would keep an eye on them.
But today i have to get the house sorted as its a pit. Then were off to friends parents to discuss funeral arrangements etc.

No idea what were having for tea, just going to see what we have in.
    Better get a wiggle on.

Have a good day all x

    Morning everyone

Another glorious day here so planning to do a picnic for ds2 & myself and go out and about exploring as he is not back at school till monday. I am on countdown:D.

Last nights dinner was oven baked peppar & spinach risotto, I know that someone wanted the receipe near to my wedding and I didn't have time to post it so here it is.

    25g/1oz butter
1 garlic clove crushed( I use garlic granules)
1 small red onion (I just use a normal onion)
    100g/4oz risotto rice
1 tbsp fresh rosemary(I tend to put in mixed herbs to my taste)
    300ml vegetable stock
250ml white wine(I just make up more stock if I have no wine)
290g jar antipasto mixed peppers in tomato dressing(I use a jar in oil but drain the peppars & chop slightly - you could just use roasted peppars though, I do add a touch of tomato puree as well)
    50g spinach
25g/1oz vegetarian parmesan grated(I just grate cheddar or similar usually)

Preheat over to 180/gas mark 4
Put butter & garlic in 1 litre ovenproof dish for 2 mins until butter has melted. Add onion and toss to coatin butter and return to oven for 3-4 mins to soften.
Add rice, herbs, stock and wine and return to oven for 30 mins stirring once or twice during cooking.
Stir in peppers and spinach and return to oven for 10 mins, until all the liquid has been absorbed. Stir in the cheese ad season to taste. Serve with fresh green salad.

Serves 2 people (I use it for 2 adults and a child, but also serve with french bread).

Not much os today, apart from sorting yet more boxes. Dinner will be chicken stirfry with noodles(got loads mushrooms to use up) if anyone has any good recipes for this they would like to share. Will try and do a bit more gardening too today.

Taplads - good luck for today. Taplady hope your nerves hold out.
    Tru - Hugs to you
Flutterbyuk - thinking of your friend
NPM - Your toilet calander made me laugh. Hope you manage to get some rest today.
JC2703 - Thanks for all the MS info I have registered for a couple of the companys but not able to do much until he is back at school next week.

Enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.

    Lynne

PS Have only managed to put wedding pic as my Avatar yet for anyone that wants to see it.
