Morning all
Had a sleep in this morning till gone 9 which was nice.
Got a headache as Aunt Flo is due.
WM on, & another load ready to go in. Where does it all come from?!
DH has taken the kids swimming.
Don't think my anti d's (the new ones) have kicked in yet. Time will tell. I am hopeful. Which is a good sign!
Again, thank you all for your support, its meant a lot to me.
I must go & have a shower now!

Morning all
My tonsillitis is still raging, so having a lazy hour in bed with a hot ribena & the laptop propped on OH's pillow (OH left for work hours ago)
The house is a disgusting state, but I really don't have the energy to do any of it. Once I'm dosed up on paracetamol I feel OK, so that is the time to whizz around & do a few bits:
* Clean en-suite
* Clean hob & kitchen table
* Clean living room
I put the DW on whilst I was waiting for the kettle to boil.
Have got a full roast chicken dinner planned for tonight - chicken, roast pots, parsnips, carrot & swede mash, savoy cabbage/bacon, yorkshires & gravy - but OH will do most of it when he gets home from work. I'm going to make soup from the carcass too.
My brand new 5-in-1 stockpot thingy came yesterday & I'm really pleased with it. I can see it being used a lot.
Hope you all have a nice OS day & the hangovers disappear quickly for those of you who have them. Seems as though lots of you are going fruit picking/jam making, so enjoy!0 -
Morning all! Hugs to those who need them.
Was woken this morning by a thunderstorm and torrential rain. The sun's out now and it's beautiful outside. Going to put another loaf in the BM in a moment.
DH and I are off out to lunch today as a big treat for our anniversary, so am really looking forward to that.
Washing AND ironing are both up to date    - that Flylady gremlin has inserted itself in my brain I think.
Have a good day everyone! FF xx0 -

No sleep at all again last night, any advice on how to switch your brain off!

Morning everyone.
I feel a bit more energetic today after spending most of yesterday afternoon on the sofa recharging. I somehow can't see me reaching my due date with this baby.
DH is at work today. Thankfully he didn't wake me at 6 when he got up. I think it will be a stew today, with a tin of corn beef. That's nice and easy for me to do then we can eat separately.
My main plan for today is to get that washer on again, although it is drizzly so it will have to be the TD. I can't live without pants though can I
I should do some ironing as last week i managed to go to school all crinkled and then when they stuck me in front of a class, i realised i had spilt breakfast down me as well, and hadn't noticed till a kid pointed it out. :rotfl:
I also need to get some school work done. I want all loose ends tied up by Wednesday (no icon for cross fingers) as we have a teacher training day on Friday. I don't want to leave looking like a slacker as they have left negotiating my management point on my return, and i can't help but feel the money will probably be useful.
Best go and attempt to get on as i am still not dressed.
Hugs all round,
Michelle, xx
PS - loved the piccies from the mini meet. Spud is as adorable as ever.
also, snowy, you will probably love the scratching post. My boys love sleeping on it. In fact mine was a 4 tier one, which was even better, until both of them sat on it one day and caused it to snap. Also, quick tip, don't place it too near anything you don't want them to jump at. Mine managed to knock a picture of the wall, and used it to jump onto other furniture - naughty boys. (bought in my pre-MSE days but i still think i would have got it them now as they are my babies)0 -
pawpurrs, can I have the recipe for your veggie morrocan tagine pretty please!

Morning, all. My sympathy to those who have had a bad night - I went to bed at 11pm and then seemed to wake up (for various reasons) every two hours after that! We had the torrential rain here, too. Had to get up and close the bedroom window, as poor old Mr Jack my greyhound, was getting wet! Went downstairs to check that Tingle, the Guinea Pig, wasn't getting wet or floating off down the garden on a tidal wave, but he was fine. I'd had the forethought to put his transparent waterproof cover down over his cage front before I went to bed, so he was as snug as a bug in a rug. The dogs looked out of the back door, then looked at me as if to say "you've got to be kidding!" and went back to bed.
So, today shall be spent doing all those Sunday things like ironing uniform, homework, roast dinner, etc etc. We're off to pick up a coffee percolator and another slow cooker (that'll make three!) from a Freecycler this afternoon, so fingers crossed I'll be able to keep this one for sweet things like rice pudding and stewing fruit. My two others are so steeped in garlic, I don't like to try sweets in them, just in case!
B : h/m wholemeal toast & blackcurrant jam
L : spinach omelette
D : roast chicken and all the extras, raspberrry/blackberry jelly for pud.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Feeling a bit poorly this morning. (Not due to drinking!). I was sitting watching TV last night and all of a sudden felt all achey and tired and ill and when I went to bed I was covered in goosebumps and couldn't get warm. Hubby warmed me up and then I kept waking up through the night because I was too hot!
Still feel poorly this morning and my brain isn't in gear at all! WM is whirring, TD is whirring - although the sun has come out now so will stop it and hang washing on the line instead. Will put the BM on too for later.
DD1 is off to her digs at Uni this afternoon and I really want to bake her favourite cakes for her to take with her (Congress tarts, which is a pastry shell, jam in the bottom and a cake mix made with ground almonds) - just got no energy!
B: Bread made with HM toast
L: Sunday Roast
T: Egg Salad and HM bread0 -
