Hello everyone!

Well, not too many green lights are on at the moment, so thought I would start today's post. Hopefully all you yoghurt knitters are currently in bed getting your energy levels up for a day of sweet Old Styling rather than out in the pub!

I only skimmed yesterday's thread...sorry!! It was a busy day, out visiting parents. I gave them some home made jam...plum & ginger, and blackberry & apple. The jam was well received but my mother was suspicious that I'd been shopping for it!!

So, I didn't get out blackberrying or anything else that I had hoped to do yesterday...by the time I got home it was dark. So, my plan for today is to go blackberrying and harvesting anything else fruity that I can find.

My kitchen is begging for a good slap with a wet dishcloth - it's a bit unloved shall we say at the moment. I've been v.messy lately.

Doddsy...I did see that you have a kidney stone. Oooo I hope it dissolves v.soon, sounds totally awful, ya poor wee thing...

And Michelle...I want one of those climber things for my kitties...it looks fab! Will be going to Argos tomorrow...

MrsMortenHarket...hope you're alright.

Big hugs to everyone else...sorry if I missed any important news from yesterday...but have been awake for many many hours and the old brain cells are having problems getting together.

Bye all, have a fantastic Sunday!

SnowyOwl

Edit: Here's a link to the starting post stickie. Have a read if you're new or haven't spotted it yet. And have a fabbie Sunday from me too. (Gingham.)

  • A good morning to one and all!

Snowy, good to see you, hun! I'll be doing loads of OSing today - spent far longer in the pub last night than I ought!

I have far more fruit than ever this year, so I'm firing up the Rayburn to turn some of it into jam. I'm also baking (more muffins - thanks Pink :A ), Fly Ladying, and finishing knitting a big reddish jumper.

    Have a great day, all!

yes it seems to have been a bumper year for fruit, i was surprised how big the brambles were, i thought with it being such a dry summer they would have been smaller

not much to do today, usual visit to elderly neighbour in the afternoon

back later, hugs to all xx
  • Morning Guys!

Bad nights sleep again, but never mind.

Had a good evening at wedding shower last night. She got bought loads of gifts...mostly very posh ones (probably paid for by CC's:p )but she loved my soap and room spray. She didnt know who bought what-so was quite funny. There were a few naughty bits, but havent laughed so much in ages and was lovely being with other people for a change. Her OH is abroad on his stag weekend:eek:   Caterers/waitresses/waiters were in and out fussing with drinks and food all evening...and personally-I would ahve preferred a cheese sarnie to the lobster and champagne that was on offer:confused: There were some nice tarts, starters and cheese sticks-so stuck with that.

WM is on, DW has been emptied and toilet cleaned.

OH wrapped friends pressy last night and did a good job. Its their 20th anniversary and their treating their friends to a meal. She had a baby last year and wanted to thank people whom had helped. Of course, we were able to help with the food side of it and just doubled up a couple of times a week. My DD knows her DD very well and are close and she said to DD that she didnt know what Shepards Pie, Stew & Dumplings and Chilli Con Carne was before we had done it and luckily she said it was nice:D

Im looking forward to resting later and tomorrow morning.

Hope everyone has a great sunday. Hugs to all.

    Morning all :hello:

I've just skimmed over yesterday's thread, lots of hugs are needed

Hope you all have a better day today.

The wedding was great, and it got even better when we realised that the evening do had a FREE BAR :T We came home with the same amount of money we went out with :D

I left 2 loads of washing on the line overnight, woke up to rain. We've been trying to get to Bourton-on-the-Water for a month but neither of us have had a day off at the same time. So today was the day, but I don't really want to walk round Birdland in the rain  We'll probably end up going for a drive and eating a sandwich in the car while hoping the rain stops for half an hour so we can pick some blackberries.

Lovely big pile of shirts to iron, I'll get that out of the way in a mo.

    Morning everyone :)

I have a clear head this morning :). Sundays in our house always fall into a regular routine which is nice. The children always start the day talking to their grandparents in New Zealand on SKYPE which they love. DD 2 year old always insists on dressing up for the occasion, last week she was a witch, this week she wants to show them her Dora the Explorer pyjama's!

I have some ironing calling (I always do it whilst watching Lost) as well as putting up some new curtains in our bedroom. Ds has homework to do and DH always has to do a bit of extra work from home on a sunday. I have some turkey steaks in the freezer which will do for dinner with ratatouille which needs to be made.

I hope everyone has a good sunday.
