If I could do that I would be a contortionist and on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

Biting is excellent. It's like kissing, only there's a winner.

Yes, I am a genuine person with a very genuine case. When I booked my consultation, I was under the impression that I would be eligible for a First Medical Loan as they are mentioned on the website for helping people to pay for surgery. However, after phoning them I learnt that I must have a guarantor.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with providing a reason for requiring a loan.
To be honest an 18yr old with no history of borrowing or repayment wanting to borrow £1600 shortly before heading off to university and having very limited funds and means of repayment doesn't strike me as somebody who a lender would be keen to give money to.

I mean no offence but your chances of getting a loan or multiple student accounts with large over-drafts is limited.

    :D

Dear God - I remember the days when people deemed suitable for university were supposed to have a some kind of superior intelligence. Please tell me he's (or she's) not studying to be a brain surgeon.

Today I've received a glimer of hope!

After I returned home from work, I received a letter from FLM Loans saying that I have got 1,750 pounds waiting in my account ready for me to withdraw today and all I need is a guarantor. I rang my dad and asked him nicely to be my guarantor and he accepted. I am only worried that he will change his mind as soon as he discovers that he must hand over his card details so I will wait and see what happens tonight.

I will keep you all updated on my situation (:

EDIT: I also recieved a letter form Capital One saying that I had been accepted for a credit card :D I am sending back my agreement today!
2008 Wins: The Shapes - Get Your Learn On (CD), Free transport to and from a Christmas Party

What about a 0% credit card?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Capital One will only give a starter limit of 100 or 200 pounds to someone with limited credit history.

    Okay, thanks for the information.

Tbh, i may just ring the clinic tommorow and cancel the appointment. The flm loan will take 3-5 days to go into my account anyway (I assume working days) which will be Mon-Wed so there is a chancet hat it may not be in there in time.

With the greatest of respect, paying 53.9% is sheer madness...
