...at least Bluelagoon tells us who they are quoting.....better than 'someone in the know' or 'the individual who gave me this information' or 'the person who provided me with the information is in a position to find out by a simple phone call'....it does nothing to help your case.
The gentleman who gave me the information is a QC who specialises in corporate law. He is a client and found the information for me as a favour.

After reading through this whole thread, it was asked if it was "enforceable". wether we like bluelagoons ethics, or opinions. He/She has proved themselves to be correct, including posting Court Documents, Nobody has so far produced anything that can contradict what bluelagoon has said. However most have preferred to preach "VAT", or "Get a life". Which in effect is only making bluelagoons stance look more prominent, effectively reducing those lesser argumentatives, to chasing their own tails.

If you wish to pay extortionate rates for parking then you go ahead and pay them by all means - its your choice. (Please note that I clicked a certain “thanks” button unintentionally)

I don't pay such charges as I always resist payment of unjustified and unsubstantiated invoices. I would expect most genuine moneysavers to instinctively do likewise. The information outlined at the following sources would form the basis of my defence if matters became contentious (very unlikely in circumstances where a private parking company doesn’t know the driver’s identity):

It would appear that NONE of the cases quoted by bluelagoon have been properly defended (meaning a defence based upon the information contained via the above links).

It must be remember that bluelagoon has a vested interest in the incomplete and misleading information that he provides - he is far from impartial.

    sarahg199,

Is there any cases on pepipoo of people being taken to Court by a PPC & both parties turning up & arguing their case robustly & the PPC case being thrown out?....by the law of averages surely there has to be one?

I haven't seen one mentioned. I also haven't seen a single one where someone has started a thread in anticipation of a court hearing, which has gone ahead and been lost by the defendant. You'd think there would also be one of those too, wouldn't you?

However, I believe there is a defended case listed for hearing in April, so I shall keep my eye open for it.

Perhaps Bluelagoon can tell us, though, as he has access to more information than we do, from CPS.

Unincorporated company information is available from Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, and Equifax amongst others. Obviously, subscription is required.

However, small companies do not have to file documents or provide proprietorship information, so it's a bit hit and miss.

Anyone who wants to find out where to obtain such information will see that it's freely available - just google "unincorporated companies".

To be honest No I dont wish to pay extortionate fee's, just as I dont want to take the RISK to pay any EXTRA extortionate fee's, so until anyone can establish FOR CERTAIN that I can risk avoiding it completely, and at least show me some relavant cases regarding it, then I guess it is my choice.

If you don't wish to pay extortionate rates for parking then don't park on someone else's private land without permission, and if on a car park then follow the rules you agree to by parking there.

So, how does that work if I DON'T park on private land, but someone driving my car does?

Well they shouldn't either?!? If you mean that it comes back to you because they only have the car's details not the driver's then they should pay on your behalf. TBH you have really unkind friends/family or whoever you're lending your car to if they refuse to pay it for you.

    Why would I do that?

Well then I'd have no problem with you being given the charge until you can provide details of why you shouldn't be charged (i.e. provide details of who should be). You have to take some responsibility of who you lend your car to. Are you against high charges or charges in general?
