£70 Parking Fine in non P&D Car Park

Fine, you've answered my question. I can't see where my ignorance was?
I asked the question because other forums have suggested that Perky hasn't exactly been squeaky clean with VAT issues in the past (whether these allegations are true I do not know).
And as I have earlier pointed out, even Perky's website seems confused as to whether these tickets are "penalties" or "charges" (they are twice referred to as penalties on www.combinedparkingsolutions.com)
(You're doing your argument no favours with words like "bounty" by the way, it just reinforces that this is a predatory money-making scam)
Now are you going to publish the address of your car park so I can come and park on it and put up a proper defence to your court claim?
Grow some balls and accept the challenge. You're the one who wants to see an example of a driver winning in court.
Everyone in here seems to have issues with CPS and others making a profit. I think that's really what all this moaning and whinging is about.
I've already told you - this is the last place I would publish my address!0 -

I don't blame you. You may want to tone down getting too personal (from some of your other posts), no matter what other posters put. I disagree with some of the things you said and to be honest on some of the legal issues I don't actually know one way or the other. But I think it's healthy to have someone from the "other side" adding to the thread. Just make sure you keep to forum etiquette and don't resort to any personal remarks and then it won't undermine your own position. There does seem to be a certain element of attack against you for merely using parking enforcement which is unrealistic as businesses really need it in some cases. I guess it comes down to the practices of the parking enforcement used not whether they should be used at all."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Yes you can.
As in my previous post, try following the thread rather than just making obtuse remarks.
CPS are not issuing the tickets you are, and as you don't work for the company nor do you wear a uniform showing CPS ID they are gaining access to the DVLA under false pretences.
You know what? I think CPS may have done their homework before setting up in business.Maybe you would like to expand on your seven word reply on why you think they are not breaking the law? The ticket is clearly an offence under The administration of Justice Act and you still haven’t explained under what law is it an offence to remove the ticket?0 -

Thanks, I couldn't agree more. Parking on private land is a huge problem for many businesses. I'm not sure anyone here would like it if strangers suddenly started using their home driveway to park their car.
I've said all along that I don't doubt there are some dubious ticketing/clamping companies out there and I am not defending them. I have simply put forward my case and pointed out that non-payers do get taken to Court and provided proof of successful Court action.
The bottom line is, if someone parks on private land where there is clear and unambiguous signage warning them about parking charges then they deserve to be issued with a ticket.

Taking a persons picture when they don't wish you to do so can be regarded as harassment which is a criminal act. The person can use reasonable force to stop you.
Harassment is a course of conduct and not a single incidence . To claim harassment and using force to stop them taking your picture would be a good way to get arrested for assault"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

You know what? I think CPS may have done their homework before setting up in business.
But you don't wear their uniform while issuing tickets which is another requirement. Maybe they should have studied a bit more.bluelagoon wrote: »Theft springs to mind.

As has been stated numerous times, it's the methods behind this profit which most decent people have a problem with.
Coercion, bullying, imitating official police documents, misleading people about their legal rights, cherry-picking your court cases against weak, vulnerable and uneducated people who haven't entered an adequate defence, and ultimately trying to extort penalty charges which do not represent your losses.
If you want to make profit, sell apples on a market stall for more than the price you paid for them. I think you'll find nobody has "issues" with that.
My grandmother was scammed by an outfit similar to CPS three weeks before her death. She was one of the kindest people on this earth. I will never forgive that company for the stress and worry it caused her in the final days of her life.
You know full well that plenty of people in society will panic, and pay up through fear and ignorance when they receive your documents. That is the absolute key to the way CPS operates.
It is vile and shameful to pick on the weak.bluelagoon wrote: »I've already told you - this is the last place I would publish my address!
I know! It's because you're scared of me (and I daresay a few other people) putting your wonderful little system to the test and wiping the floor with Perky's company in court.
Like all bullies, you are a complete coward when challenged.
If anyone knows any car park using the services of Combined Parking Solutions, please PM me, as I would like to take on Mike Perkins in court and put the judgement into the public domain.0 -
I think euro car parks do the tesco car parks as well, which are done by number plate recognition cameras when you go into the car parks. In the town centre car park stores there are 2 hour limits or something to put off people just parking there and going into town.
my OH got a letter in the post from them saying you were parked for X hours over the limit or something, we just wrote a letter explaining that we did a big shop at tesco and they let us off, i think we enclosed the receipt to show how much we spent.0 -

I don't think CPS or any other parking companies care whether you have issues or not. I know I certainly don't.I know! It's because you're scared of me (and I daresay a few other people) putting your wonderful little system to the test and wiping the floor with Perky's company in court.
You're right, I am slightly scared of you but not for that reason!Like all bullies, you are a complete coward when challenged.

I wouldn't want to identify myself to you either and I agree with most of what you've said. Nothing to do with cowardice, just common sense. My comment about etiquette was meant for you too."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
