I was thinking the same as you, Backbiter.
Bluelagoon, what in it for you? Posting for hours on a subject almost every other poster and lurker here disagrees with you about. This is Moneysavingexpert.com and most of us know already that private Parking penalties are often proved unenforceable, we are not going to agree with you in a month of Sundays.
But it would be very interesting if you COULD post some successes in Court relating specifically to your Parking Enforcement Company (sorry, not yours, the one you pay to do a job for you - of course you are in a completely different line of work, I forgot, silly me!).
How about we wait a few days whilst you get the info from [STRIKE]your files[/STRIKE] the Parking Enforcement Company's files? Should make interesting reading and real food for thought if you can put some substance to what you've said. If not, why bother trying to convince us sceptics?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

For someone who has simply engaged the services of a car park management company, why are you arguing until so late into the evening as if you are actually part of such a company? Or have you misrepresented who you really are? I'm a bit mystified TBH. I could understand people with an actual involvement in extorting disproportionate sums of money for overstaying by a few minutes taking the time to dredge up details of obscure judgements that aren't in the public domain, but why would you want to do that if you are who you claim to be?
Yes, we have engaged the services of CPS. We only have a small car park (about 25 spaces) but we have issued more than 140 tickets in the last ten weeks. We're located directly opposite a company that is very busy at the weekends and their customers think that they can park anywhere they want.
Your posting implies that I have something to do with a Pay and Display car park which is incorrect. We issue parking charge tickets to any vehicles that park on our land - be it for three minutes or three hours.
I also find the subject very interesting plus it's rather good fun replying to the nonsense that people post here as fact. It's a bit like rattling the cage of a dumb animal.0 -

You need to read a few of the earlier posts to avoid looking silly.
Firstly, I don't really care who agrees or disagrees, it's a discussion forum!
Secondly, they're not parking 'penalties' they're parking 'charges'. No one can legally issue a parking 'penalty' on private land.
Finally, you don't have to wait for any time at all. I've already posted Court transcripts for three recent cases that CPS has won.
Here they are again:

So do you work for a car park management company or not?0 -
Bluelagoon - I have read the whole thread and it's not me looking silly, believe me.
The cases you have posted are not relating to people who have parked in your car park. They appear to be some examples from another forum that you have found by Googling randomly, like you did to find the rest of your posts about Norwich Pharmacal orders and other such twaddle.
We would simply like to hear about successes that you know about personally. That was what you first posted about, and that is what we would like to see. If there are some in the pipeline which relate to your car park, then please feel free to come back here and post about them when and if the cases are won.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Surely a parking management company does that, not a company that employs a parking company to manage its car parks?
So do you work for a car park management company or not?
No, I do not work for a car park management company.
We use Combined Parking Solutions (CPS) who provide us with parking charge tickets. We issue them and CPS then pays us a fee for each ticket issued.
You'd be better off looking at their website, they explain it much more eloquently than I do.0 -

Oh dear you're not too bright are you?
The examples I posted are from Combined Parking Solutions - this is the company that manages our car park ticketing system.0 -
Bluelagoon, sorry but cannot believe you don't work for some car park management company, you sound like you walk round all day with a cap and a clipboardITV Winners Club #87 :eek:0

Actually I do spend a few hours each weekend issuing tickets as that's when our car park is abused... but no - I don't wear a cap - I wouldn't want to give anyone any clue that I've just stuck a ticket on their car as some can be quite angry after being ticketed and I try to avoid confrontation.
I've been approached by a few people after issuing a ticket and most just wonder why the rules are enforced at weekends. Fortunately - after explaining the parking problems - most understand and go home and pay the charge.0
