Money update - DD needs new ballet AND tap shoes
I'm going to be able to offset some of the cost by selling her existing shoes to a friend's daughter who tried them on at the end of the class today, and I might be able to buy some second hand ballet shoes from another mother at the class, but I need tap shoes *sigh* Brand new they're £17 and only get worn for 15 minutes a week....*double sigh*
Its a never ending circle isn't it?
The only plus side (aside the exciting class) is that you can sell them on as almost new when she's done with them
[quidco/ebay or both??]
Hope the ladies had a nice 'lunch' and you get a place on the course - popped a treatsome *if a bit dog eared* book in the post for you both to enjoy!
xTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

Aaaah, thank you Fay, you're so kind

I'm going to wear my new lucky stripey socks tomorrow when I make the call to the college
I've got a pair of tap shoes coming from ebay. I've always been adamant that DD would never have second hand shoes, as I want her feet to be pristine etc, but hopefully the girl who wore them before will have, like DD, only worn them for 15 minutes a week at class! If they look too worn, I'll get new, fingers crossed!!
We're just back from an invigorating swim where we were pretending to be monkeys, well actually I was learning to be a monkey, DD's a hard task mistress. Her swimming is amazing now, she only got the hang of it a few weeks ago on holiday and to look at her now, I'd think she'd been doing it for months and months. Clever little sausage.
It's also been a NSD, phew! That's what comes of going out for a swim after the nearby supermarket is closed. We can *suffer* only having 3 oranges and a pear left in the fruit bowl until tomorrow, lol.0 -
Hell's teeth, I'm not going to make it with what I have in the bank at the moment - I will have to move some money back into the current account

However, it's not a defeat, I've put a lot of money in there and have done a lot of things this month already (naughty of me to go for a pricey lunch on Saturday, I should have been stronger!), and I completely forgot about how much the childminder will be this month. Silly me0 -
YAY!!! I'm on the GCSE course!!!!0

Im not that lucky.
Anyway, I hope you don't mind me keeping up with your postings.
An enjoyable read.

Hi Romylou - thank you for the boost, I'm sitting here feeling like a failure at the moment, feeling skint, fat, frumpy and scared of my evening class!0

You'll do great at the evening class, don't worry - and its just the first session, its going to be introductory. I imagine the really important thing to do is keep up with the reading and the homework. good luck with it!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks KC, it's the second class, I'm the late girl, but looking at my friend's stuff, it looks like I should be able to catch up on last week's okay. Well, here's hoping!
I've just ordered the textbook from a seller on Amazon, hope they are like me and send it asap!0 -
Phew! Back from the course a little while now, it's exciting, a bit scary and I think I'm going to enjoy it. I wore a lab coat for the first time in 19 years, we did an experiment
I now know what an atom is!! This is big for me, the world's more scared of science person.. 0
