Yay, feeling chipper as whilst out at lunch sorting out some stuff at the bank, I had an email pop up on my phone to tell me I've sold a book on Amazon that I thought noone would ever buy. It's quite a dull business textbook that I was given and have never even opened as it's not anything I need to read about for work.0 -
Oops, broke into my stretchy £100 at lunchtime.....darn it! Popped into a charity shop to look at a book I saw in the window and then ended up with
£3.99 beautiful bridesmaid dress for DD to have as her christmas day dress from Father Christmas, along with her stocking....it's a bit big so may end up being for next year but was so gorgeous I couldn't leave it in there. They had 3 dresses in different sizes, shocking to think how much they had cost for the "big day" and how the owner had generously donated them to the charity shop rather than trying to raise some cash on eb*y (which is what I'll be considering as well!)
£2.00 Danny Champion of the World DVD - again for DD. I'm hoping that she's going to have passed her recent dance exam and as I bought her a present to celebrate the first exam, I would like to mark the occasion again
We LOVE Roald Dahl in our house and Danny is currently on repeat in the car, so it'll be something we will both enjoy
£0.99 bag of apples. I'm ravenous and my packed lunch didn't quite fill the gap. I'm proud of myself for buying this and not the bag of chocolate raisins. Okay, so they both contain fruit but.....
So, how long can I make £93.02 last now?
Ok I've just found you - and this made me laugh out so much - we could be charity shop twins.
Goodluck with it all - lovely to see 'more of you' here you and DD sound like you've got a great thing going together xxx - I'm stalking everyone today
he he he I blame the drugs............
I love the tree idea - what a brilliant thing.

Hi Fay, thank you for stopping by my favourite stripey charity shop twin
Wish I was as stripey as you, I'm so dull these days
and I finally put my stripey socks in the bin, they were my "lucky socks" but after 20-odd years they had one too many holes, even for me!! 0 -
I bought scrummy melon, apples, bananas, pears, oranges and broccoli this morning - can't wait to get reviewing and being paid for them, slurp!!
I'm feeling quite pleased as we've managed to not eat all the yummy bread rolls I made this morning and as DD had a friend over to play, I got ahead of myself and have made our lunches for tomorrow - going to polish my halo and finish that bottle of wine tonight!!0 -
The last of the wine is well deserved !!!! - well done you.
DD2 just polished off the last of the loaf i made this morning, so gonna be setting the breadmaker timer again tonight!!
Have a lovely evening.
xx:o

I completely forgot (I know, how crazy is that?!?) about the wine last night, silly me!! Maybe tonight will be a better night

I'm feeling a bit deflated this morning, I've moved my £3.20 over and am now a bit stressy that I'm going to be cutting things too fine this month, but I am foolishly/sensibly going to go down to Brighton this afternoon and look for winter shoes/Christm*s presents and spend money I don't really have unless I take it out of the pot.
The B00k people came in to our office yesterday and I got some kids' birthday present books as we have a few parties coming up. They didn't have a book I really wanted but the chap gave me a flyer for free delivery. It says for use on one order only - but I'm sure all the stickers were the same, so I'm going to put an order in today, hopefuly for just that one book and I won't let myself get sidetracked into buying many, many more! I love books but I read very quickly so make good use of the library instead, rather than buying books for me.
If anyone would like the code, PM me and you can have it - and hopefully it'll mean one order per customer.0 -
Grrr. I have a tiny amount left once the bills are paid this month so plans to buy new shoes/boots are on hold. If I'm 100% honest I can get by with what I have. I'm still hoping to have £64 (£3.20x20) left in the current account by the end of the month to be able to fulfil my goal for the month, but I'm not going to kill myself to do it.
The £3.20 a day is going to stop , I did it today but I have about £50 left this month if I keep on paying it for everything bar the bills and it's only the 10th today!!
Extra money coming in from reimbursement/sale of books will continue though
I had planned on taking DD to Ashurst Forest to do Winnie the Pooooooo stuff this weekend but it's going to cost petrol and probably icecreams, so I've scaled it back (DD didn't know what I was thinking) to a swim using our annual passes, a picnic and walk in the village, which will be far more fun and cheaper
Bizarre how I was thinking a bit earlier about being skint as anything and then I check my emails and I had a survey from Pinecone waiting for me so by the end of next week I'll have £4 of luncheon vouchers, yay
On the other hand, I have bought some Christmas presents and some essential bits for myself so far this month, so I'm a bit ahead of myself as I think I only have the "big" present for each of DD, parents and bro to get, and I'll await suggestions from each of them as to what they might like

Listing on ebay is free this weekend.
Must charge up my camera and finally list things I've been toying with putting on there for ages, yay

Yum yum, a friend is giving me a bag of pears she was given by a neighbour and won't have use for. If only DD would eat stewed fruit.....but I'll stew some and put the rest in the fridge to prolong them (try not to keep much food out at the moment as we've only just rid of 'furry friends' yuk yuk yuk that are rampaging up and down my terrace
) 0 -
ohhh i didn't realise Ebay was free this weekend, that works out so well, i will definately have to get baying!!
Have a good day:)
