  • I am currently on Tesco Mobile PAYG and they use O2's network. If you want to buy a 3G phone, then the deal that Tesco has with O2 is such that you will not be able to stream video off the internet over 3G. This facility is exclusively reserved for Tesco iPhone customers. All other 3G phone users will have a more limited service. I have experienced this first hand as I bought a Samsung Wave 3G phone and was not able to access Youtube, etc. via the 3G network, only over the phone's built-in wi-fi. I called Tesco Mobile customer service about this matter and they confirmed this. I was offered a full refund on the phone as this was not made clear at the time, however as I love the phone I decided to keep it anyway. Just thought I would inform potential customers who may want to use this facility. I am not sure whether this affects the Sim only rolling contract. It's worth checking first.

I'm with Virgin £10 a month 30 day 300 mins and 300 texts (old deal for existing customers) and I though that was good! I think this would be great for son number 2 as he's on O2 £30 per month. Big big saving thanks so much!

I phoned Virgin this morning and told them about the deal Tesco are doing, their response was 'We can offer you 600 minutes, unlimited texts+data for the same £10 rolling contract'... Yes please!

I believe the lady said it was a £20 contract but with a £10 credit every month to net off to £10.
  • I phoned the Tesco mobile 0845 number and booked my sim for £10 a month.
The call taker was really helpful and set it all up in 10 mins, including parental control. Sim is for my daughter.

    Being delivered in 3 days.:money:

Is this a 30 day or 12 month contract? It's half the price of what I pay with t-mobile! The only tesco near me is an express so hope I can do it over the phone if not online.

Can you still get on google and facebook? I don't use my phone's internet for youtube or video.

I have emailed them and asked them the same but quoted the fact Virgin use term 'unbeatable deal' in their website so have asked them to beat Tesco - will let you know when they refuse!
