Hi Pippa! Thought I'd stop by as you popped into my diary yesterday! I sympathise about the eBay fees thing - I was shocked how high they were when I sold some bits recently, then you have paypal fees on top as well.

I went through all the bits and bobs we have stashed away for christmas earlier on - we have two littlies to buy for - niece & nephew aged 6 & 3 respectively, and not having kids of our own it're a realy toughie to know what's suitable! Last year we did a "goodie bag" for Polly (6) which she absolutely loved, and which didn;t cost a fortune as was mainly done from Poundland bits and bobs. Going to repeat that idea this year for both of them. Also off to the Good Food Show next weekend so usually manage to pick up some foody bits for various people there.

Hi Pippa,

I can relate to the mentally tired bit. I am feeling it at the moment. Christmas gives me a headache trying to think of things for nieces and nephews. I always seem to get it right but I think it is more by luck than planning. I am a bit of a skinflint too so I will only buy things within a set budget which means that my presents are never expensive. I do love searching for them though. This year I will be away for Christmas and New Year so I have asked if I would be ok to bring presents back from the holiday and have a second family day after Christmas.

Good for you! life is what you make it. I have realised that life is what you make it, it also depends on your attitude! I am happy for you and I hope this new attitude of yours stays. just don't let obstacles bring it down. Happy birthday to your mum too haha x

Too true too true. But hey ho I like to think sone good will come I on the other hand have not slept a wink in afternoon rest and must face a shift I'm stressed I'm annoyed and in cursing the banks :-/

I am sorry to hear about the work but glad to hear you might get two new students. I will send positive vibes for those. It is hard when everything comes at once but at least you are both open minded enough to be looking at other things. Have you been over on the Matrix thread? There is somebody over there Essex Hebridean who has a great idea for a business, it entails working hours for small business doing their admin (kind of like an agency but just her). Is this something that you could look at in your local area. She is targeting one and two man type set ups like solicitors and accountants etc. She already has some clients.

It sounds to me like it wont be long before you are up and running again Pip. It would probably be really good to run your own event. Hope that the cheque clears ok. Is your OH looking for something else as he doesnt like what he is doing or is that the stop gap until you are sorted?
