I'm tempted to start a new thread along the lines of 'Wanted, OS Girlfriend - for Bloke' but I think it would probably get moved...
I'm racking my brains to think how we can help you - it can't be that difficult, heaven knows, the world is very short of decent, eligible blokes.
Come on girls, help me out here. The Bloke wants some company! :D

Am with you here Newleaf, hearing what you are saying, Mr BE is well in need of some OS lass to brush his whole pastry with some egg glaze - not just the offcuts, although very artistic they were. Would be next in the queue too, if I was single. (Liked Edinburghlass's sneaky though).
Only other thing that I can suggest is a wee local meeting???
  • A nice tart would be lovely. ;)

Somehow I knew you were going to say that :D

    I didn't like to disappoint. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Aside from this smut ..... ;):D

Here's my sunken offering.... Do you like the hearts and start decorations :D Courtesy of the Play Doh cutters I use to make pies 'fun' for the kids :D

and here served up with the leftovers of my roast dinner (will post those pics on the other thread).

I couldn't get leeks so I used chicken, mushroom, parma ham and teenily chopped onions. It was the best pie I've ever made, even 7 year old daughter asked for more before bed

Hey Mr BE..... you can have your pie dish back now :D
Just run, run and keep on running!

  • What a brilliant idea, using Play Doh cutters! :D

Pie looks great, WD WD WD!

Is there something we should know about you and MBE sharing pie dishes?

I've only just noticed this! Looks great, but you need a blackbird in the middle. :p

    The pastry looks particularly good....

And I did notice that you borrowed my dish. :rotfl:

bumping this oldie as i am making chicken and leek pie - this one for my birthday dinner (why do i offer to do these things). Anyway, it is quite a "dear" pie as it's mainly leeks and chicken . I wanted to add some carrots maybe but don't want to change the taste IYKWIM? I was thinking of just adding carrots in cooked - when I am assembling the pie? Does any of this make sense?

I can't think what else to bulk it out with and my family are carrot nuts (im making carrot cake for desert) so i don't imagine they will mind, but i dont want to affect the whole taste as the gravy that comes off it is to die for..... Any advice?

I made a turkey pie yesterday that had red peppers in the recipe, only I substituted some sweated mushrooms for them as red peppers are one of the few things that give me indigestion.

Not sure I answered the question there.:rotfl:

p.s you evil person, you do realise I have to go back and read all 30 pages.
Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw

apologises for spelling mistakes - google toolbar and I have had a hissy fit and I've lost me spell checker.
