I think they have updated their system now with my new address. I need to send in my tenancy agreement, council tax letter, 8x wage slips and my son's medical card...Do i just send a stamped self addressed envolope for them to be returned?

Will we still be entitled to this? We still have my fiance's wages but they won't cover everything we need to pay?

And can you remember how long it took them to sort it all out?

    Thanks

    Hi,
yes they will give it you its a hardship payment but it was only £50 when i got 1 but i only had 1 child, they will make you go back about a hour after you go in to pick a giro cheque u and you can cash it at the post office.
  • Thanks Witter, I'll pop down today and see what they say.

no problem let us know how you get on
  • emergency payments are at the enquiry centres discretion, you will not always get one
  • Hi, im new to this but hopefully someone will be able to advise.

My tax credits are always paid into my bank account on a wednesday but today they havent been, are they able to stop payments without telling you first?

I sent my forms back well before the cut off date, and advised them of all changes as soon as they were happening last year ( my husband and I separated and I changed my working hours) the only thing I can think of is the fact they have just sent me a second form asking details of joint income details leading up to the date we sepatated - I entered my yearly income as it was when we were together (I started working more hours after we separated) but they seem to have taken this amount to be up until april this year instead of october last - obviously this amount is different from my actual april to april earnings.
I have 30 days from recieving that form to phone and correct this error ( still well within the 30 days) but my usual weekly payments appear to have stopped.

    thanks for any help xx
  • Thank you for that number, desperate for advice!!! Mine didn't go in today because I forgot to inform them my son is continuing in education :-S It's been a rather hectic time, what can I say...

I didn't get in trouble for using the number, lol, and the lady updated the claim over the phone which was great- my only worry is how long it will take to go through as apparently 'there isn't any timescale for this'. Luckily all the bills have just been paid for this month!
