Thanks for the welcome and am taking the advice and posting even though I have spent today. Knew that would be the case though as started a new course at college about finance in the voluntary sector as I am hoping to move into fund raising management as my next job. I had to pay £2.00 to park the car and spent £1.97 on stationary bits for ths module and the two others that I will be doing(fundraising and management).

Hoping for an NSD tomorrow though-my first one this month fingers crossed!
  • :jBDINI: yay to no 2, you’re doing great. Glad you had a good weekend, not going to ask about the beer smuggling, it must be some quaint Yorkshire custom:rotfl:...... Fingers crossed for the next few days:)

More a MSE thing Spoon, beer was meant to be banned from the site unless you bought it there & £3.50 a pint was just :eek:
Might display my new party trick on a NSD night out should we ever need it!!! :rotfl:

    Number 3 today :j:j

Big hugs to all those that have had a bad day today, hope tomorrow is a better one :D

Looks like tomorrow is going to be an unscheduled spend day......

Only have enough dog food for another 5 and a bit weeks, and it's an expensive one (£36 - or more - for a bag which does him 28-30 days, but necessary after he had an op to remove kidney stones last September) so I've been watching for offers on it - and had an email tonight from PAH which shows it as B1G1HP for 24 hours from 9am tomorrow.

I know (from experience of this offer earlier in the year, when I couldn't get as much as I wanted in the evening) that there's only very limited supplies, so need to get on ASAP after 9am (which will mean DSs laptop on parents connection after we get there, as I want to be away from here before 9am). Limit of 2 'half price offers' per customer which means I can get 4 bags (enough for 115-120 days), and I need 3 bags to get to the end of the year. It was last on offer (that I saw) at the end of March, so I'm hoping it comes round again quicker than that else I'll have to pay full price (and the price/bag has already gone up by £2.06 - equivalent of 6% - since last time, plus from 1st Jan I assume it'll have a higher rate of vat attached to it which will up the price again  ).......

** wonders if I can convince my Dad to place an order as well, and I'll pick it up next time I'm up that way - which won't be any later than 17th Oct when I'm up for my 5 mile race ***

Just as well my new micro didn't cost as much as the one it replaced had done, otherwise I wouldn't have enough left in my savings account for the food :o Roll on Friday/payday ;)

    Hi lovely NSD gang :A
Loads of NSDs rolling in today, well done everyone, keep going!:j

A very warm welcome to all our newbies signing up this month, new people are always welcome to join, we’re a a very friendly, if slightly insane, bunch and a surreal sense of humour definitely helps. We are, however, very serious in our aim to cut down on our spending and are happy to give advice/tips/hints so please ask if you’re not sure about anything. Everyone seems to have more success if they post regularly on here and join in the chat - not sure why, but it seems to work, so please feel free to join in :D:D

    Welcome to:
steerpiker: :hello: hi and welcome, good to have you on board. Signing you up for 9 now, good luck for the month and don’t forget to keep posting, that seems to be the secret.
