Declaring one for the day before yesterday.

I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

Whoops! Knew there were a couple of grocery items I'd been telling myself to pick up with the next shop, and as I made lunch I realised what they were (short on spread, and completely out of bananas!)

So I've been good and been back out for those - and just those - as I've already spent today ;)

In the past I'd have waited until tomorrow, and then probably have ended up picking up more stuff as well, but wanted to keep tomorrow as an NSD......

  • I think I've caught something from Cheryl in the last couple of days.

Today I have done two lots of washing which are now ready to come in and be ironed, 2 hours of ironing (and put them away), washed up (twice) made DD tidy her room and get school stuff ready, made chocolate fudge cake, cat's tongues and current buns with the help of DS1/2, got DS1/2s stuff ready for school tomorrow and am now having a well-earned cup of extra strong tea (first one today - weaning off them now!) before getting my mother & toddler stuff ready for tomorrow as well as messy play stuff for Tuesday.

DH has also been busy cutting our back [STRIKE]garden[/STRIKE] jungle. But then I suppose I should be grateful for that :D (actually he did help cook as well :A)

Was hoping to get the car cleaned as well before it has its MOT this month but don't think I'll be able to fit it in.

  • well here am I post wedding, taken me a while to come to this morning!

Most interesting evening, and cos Mr Dopey was buying I actually preserved my NSD as well so another for me please Spoon

    Well the wedding OMG

The bride was beautiful, long ivory lace topless dress, with a beautiful train, very classic.
the bridesmaids were black, short ballarina type, nice low key except that one had had a fight with her BF and had a face like a bag of spanners, this was grumpiness to a new level.
Brides mother was 1-speechless.gif1-speechless.gif black 1-speechless.gif with silver accessories, she looked like a overshoulderbustenhalter from the German Luftwaffe, and had a firework on her head, erupting black and white sparkly things, I had to think very carefully what to say cos I knew it had cost a fortune, lot of wasted money.
all men in black kilts looked Ok, don't know if I like plain kilts they are meant to be tartan.
Grooms mother 1-speechless.gif grey 1-speechless.gif long grey sacky thing and again a firework on her head, with red sparkly things, looked like a take off of a BMI stewardess
then there were assorted wee lassies and not so wee lasses 1-speechless.gif who had come to the wedding and forgotten to put the bottom half of their dresses on, Mr Dopey's eyes were on stalks, some had also forgotten the top half of their dresses too, and a lot of them were a strange tangerine colour, against the white 1-speechless.gif so if they pulled the dress up at the front, their bums appeared at the other end!
i haven't been to a wedding for ages and I was just a bit gobsmacked. There were also 3 fashionably gay men who appeared to be auditioning for Strictly with the half dressed wee lasses, I've had my enterainment, let me tell yu.
Food was OK, not very spectcular, (always difficult to cater for a crowd), in Scotland we have a proper sit down three courser, so it takes ages. Cake was lovely, ivory and black, sounds weird but was lovely, speeches were good and the B&G are off to down under for a fortnight finished off by a weekend in Dubai!

Couldn't dance cos a lot of the semi-naked young ladies and said partners took over the dancefloor and I've got a wonky leg and wasn't going to risk life and limb in the stramash, plus I had far too many clothes on and I was the wrong colour and my bazonkers were safely stowed where they should be!

all in all a verrrrry interesting evening, band was a bit loud as well!
not grumpy anymore but don't want to go to another wedding for some time! Don't think I could manage the keeping a straight face for a long time thing again.

    You betcha!! :D

I think the milk will even last till then!!:T:T:T (If not I'm sure I can persuade DH to get it!)
