Good morning everyone -
feeling loads better today, thanks to Kerri and Spoon for your encouraging posts, its so nice to have folks to vent to! Yes, I was really disappointed not to see niece, but hey ho!;)
Re Irn bru, Kerri, its always the things that have strange ingredients that taste the best! I dont have it all the time, but I think chips and IrnBru is a marriage made in heaven:rotfl:
Re face cream , Spoon , I've been using Lid£ day cream for the past couple of months and find it really good, princely sum of £1.99;)
Aiming for a NSD today, OH is going for the papers and rolls and then were off to watch the sea swimming races provided the weather stays dry.
Have a lovely day everyone:)

Yesterday was an NSD and planning on making today one too...so that's 3 NSDS so far this month...looking good!!
Been awake since 4 this morning, and up since 6... Dog woke us up, barking to be let out at 4 (better than a puddle suppose!). DH fell back to sleep quickly, bu t I couldn't....
...so have hung out two loads of washing already, plus a small hand-wash. There's another load in the machine, with yet more waiting. Decided to strip and wash DS1's bedding while he is away at his GF's this weekend...got to make the most of the dry weather before Autumn returns with avengence!! Looks like thunder storms by Tuesday .
Begining to flag now, so might head off for a couple of hours doze before starting on the painting/weeding.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

NSD #3 for me (3/25) Yesterday went to pet store to buy a couple of bits we NEEDED for puppy and came out just over £100 later of other bits, that will be used but .....!! Admittedly, I have to take one thing back, a harness which was £15, as we bought two in case it was too big initially, but going well though as also no internet purchases which we can be terrible for!!!
Got to get all the kiddywinks things ready for school tomorrow and one has a party later with present and card from the present box, so no spend there which is good! :T
have a good day everyone!!

Hi Everyone
Just catching up witht the posts before starting some work. Thanks for the warm welcome Solventsoon. I noticed quite a few OPs from the Save £10 Challenge are over here to.
Yesterday was horrifically expenseive but it was the big shop for me and £60 worth of petrol - well it was down to just the fumes .
Also did a bit of trading with lovely neighbours for some fresh apple juice - not sure I can mention if here (please shout if I need to edit this out) I occasionally shop with Approved Food and the house is always full of bits and bods that I feel I can give away. Might be helpful for some savers to know about it.
Then I do a couple of bigs shops.
Anyway to the point - I was just about to go out and get a paper and whatever takes your fancy. When I stopped myself and thought - make it a NSD :j Not a big one but it will be Number 3 and it's a work@home tomorrow - so if I resist popping out then I make make it Number 4. I have to post some books sold on Amazon but I think I have enough stamps to cobble through.
Also wanted to say Hi CatherineMM (who provided inspiration on the August £10 challenge) noticed your out mystery shopping. I do a bit of it myself but it doesn't really pay much) just wondered how you're doing with it.
Oh well - must get on with the work now. Good luck and no spending.

Spend day for me - the milk monster struck again!!
Bought 1x4pt full fat (his preference) and 1x4pt semi-skimmed (he'll probably need more than 4pt but less than 8pt before he moves out on Wednesday, and I was blowed if I was going to end up with f/fat - which I don't drink/use - or send it up with him, when we can both cope with semi)
Also picked up the passatta I discovered I need for Tuesday (didn't realise I'd used my last until I checked the cupboards yesterday), some chew bars (heavy on the fruit content - 1 full portion a bar - and a bargain at £1.49 for a box of 25 at B+M) plus a loaf of bread for DS
Then added on :-
a new sieve (my two larger ones have 'had it' with the mesh coming away from the rim), and it looks a lot easier to clean after straining rice as well
a microwave pasta cooker (not expensive, and I plan to do a lot of pasta based lunches over the next few months - didn't own anything suitable to try it out otherwise, especially not with spagetti!)
a rechargeable battery (kitchen scales are warning the battery's almost dead, and my last one went into one of my smoke detectors a couple of weeks ago - it's a square one I don't own many of, and the one in the scales now isn't rechargeable)
and
a 3 way surge-protected plug adaptor. I suddenly realised last night - after losing my combi-oven to the power outage on Monday night - that my laptop and router are currently protected...... so I was lucky not to lose those as well, as they were both plugged in and switched on  Remembered seeing these coming up as an offer in an email I had recently, so checked back and it was A!di as of today
Leg still not 'straight'. Felt fine yesterday morning around the house, but stiffened up and ached when I nipped out (to the tip and to put a holiday request in at work) then eased off again later. Felt fine again this morning, but was twinging and aching while out shopping - not as badly as yesterday, but still enough to stop me going for a run given I have 9 hours at work tomorrow and 8 hours on Tuesday to get through. So I'm off out to mow the lawns before the green bin gets emptied tomorrow (and the rain arrives for the week)Cheryl0 -
