And I can't believe I almost missed Spoon's birthday!!! Didn't see that one publicised anywhere - nor did I see a party invitation anywhere !!!!

But I won't hold that against the Mistress of the NSD Threads, so here's some more cake for Spoon good.gif

Oops, sorry Cheryl :o:o:o:o. I was going to keep it quiet but others had a different idea. We were going to have a bit of an open house tonight but I was invited out for a meal, so that idea went down the pan, sorry...

Thanks for the cake and the birthday wishes. :A I've had sooo much cake today I'm about to burst.. dopey, where's the umbrella?:rotfl:

LVF - as you said, we're all pals on here. I like to think that if we all met up in the "real" world we'd all get on like a house on fire! That means we're here to support and listen when it all gets a bit much. It's not always easy to put a brave face on it, so coming on here and having a rant/ moan/ vent can really help. I feel privileged that you felt comfortable enough with us that you could share your thoughts with us. :A

I have a feeling that if we all met up in the 'real' world we'd be carted off wearing those coats with super-long sleeves by the men in white coats if any of our 'virtual' weekend outings are to go by :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    I have a feeling you're right kerri:rotfl: but we'd have a great time before being carted off:D:D

Have to declare myself OUT of the challenge for September. Have managed about 3/16 NSDs, and that was fluke really. Get paid tomorrow so really going to try and wait till October before spending anything, but don't think I can contribute much to the challenge, sorry xx
Goodgirl, of course you can contribute to the challenge, you managed 3 days which is brilliant, that's 3 days where no nasty shop till had your money!!
We all started small when we joined the challenge & built up to the big figures. The important thing is that you keep posting & shout when things get difficult, there are loads of people here to share their tips & experiences, which helped me enormously!
Goodgirl, echoing what BDINI says above, you got 3 NSDs, that's something to be proud of. Keep posting here for the rest of September, even if you don't manage any more NSDs, we'll give you lots of encouragement and you may pick up some tips along the way. Then start again in October with a lower target and you should be fine. Have a little think and make your mind up x
I'm raising my glass & humming Wild Thing (cos i think that was Jim Reeves?) in honour of your birthday Spoon!!!!
Hope you had a fantastic day & the grocery shopping wasn't too painful :D
Hmm.... Wild Thing was the Troggs, BDINI, can't remember Jim Reeves doing a song called that. Jim was a great favourite of my mum, think I must be turning into her:eek::eek::eek: because I've just bought his greatest hits CD (in Tesco, with my shopping before anyone mentions NSDs:D), but to redeem myself, at the same time I bought the new Manic Street Preachers CD:D:D

And thanks, I've had a lovely day:):)

Hope Mr D's blister is healing today, no signs of any pus clouds today so I guess it hasn't burst yet:D

    Hello lovely NSD-ers
Thank you to elfen, kerry, swanny, Looloo, fenna, Nargle, sf, karen, candyapple, katholicos, twistedhazel and dmb for your birthday wishes, much appreciated:A

kathy, I had a lovely lunch thank you x

conf, I had a lovely day thank you x

I'm not doing the update today as I have had the odd tipple (or two) and not toooo sure my maths (or typing) is up to an update now:o:o:o. Will do it tomorrow when I'm in full possession of all my faculties (well, as many as I normally have, anyway).

I can see a couple of you have made your targets - well done - though, Nargle, if you persist in mentioning a frying pan to that poor little froglet, I shall award you the sheep instead:D:D

    'night everyone and thanks again:A:A

    see you all tomorrow

    xx
