  • Well done on not backing out of the Drs or talking with your mum. Might all feel a bit raw now, but in the long run there is a lot that probably should have been said a long time ago.

At least with the wedding you only have 3 days next week to get through :T.

That holiday will soon be here!

    thank yahm xxxx

I was chatting to a mate earlier and ages ago (or it could have been last month tobe honest, I cant remember anything) I used to try to do something each day towards my goals, which is clearly a self help bit of malarky but these days I'll take anything that works! I didn't record everything I did here but I do remember it working.

    so my goals.

    1. Debt free
    2. Deposit for a house (£15,000)
    3. Weigh 140 pounds
    4. Study for and be awarded a Masters
    5. Be organised - specifically marking completed on time, post filed shredded, room tidy, junk e bayed, resources filed, computer organised, clothes beautiful and cared for
    6. Eat healthy foods and exercise.

each day I will do something towards each one or at least three out of six.

thats the plan. Obviously 2 and 4 are lonnnnng term but for the next hundred days (103 till my holidays!) the rest will be worked on especially.

take care all and good night

    Buffy xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Wish I was counting down to a holiday but the car definately has to be changed this year - should have been changed a few years back really :o.

What a great idea to do a bit of 3 out of 6 rather than everything, might have to try that here to with some of the jobs in my list that is getting a bit long.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Afternoon folks,

I woke up relieved that my headache had gone but then had a hard time with Mum. I do want living here to work but sometimes it is impossible.

anyhow what did I do yesterday towards my goals?

    1. Debt free - spent £22 pounds on Driving lesson and had lunch out (seven pounds) did also have to get a cab, 6 pounds. so not a cheap day but hey ho.

    2. Deposit for a house (£15,000) - won't be worked on till I am debt free.

    3. Weigh 140 pounds - had muesli for breakfast, wholegrain sandwich. got a migraine from being out in the sun so came home and slept, then woke up starving, ate dinner, threw up, slept for 12 hours!

    4. Study for and be awarded a Masters - nothing. oops

    5. Be organised - specifically marking completed on time, post filed shredded, room tidy, junk e bayed, resources filed, computer organised, clothes beautiful and cared for

completed marking at school in the morning. organised desk at school some more ;) collected a set of books for marking.

    6. Eat healthy foods and exercise. - see 3. also did some walking. not much but some. 5091 steps.

    hey its a start

Todays plan was do loads but I am emailess re frog I was going to do.

and have been lazy! but will report back later with progress I promise.

Chev - hope all is well with you xxxx

Why do I need a gimmick! cos I just cannot seen to motivate myself with out a deadline, a timeline, a game (100 days, 365 days, VSP, overpayments, 0% bt, the list goes on)

    still haven't got one tho!!

    xxx

Easter Sunday 2011 until Easter Sunday 2012 :) Not exactly 365 days but almost a full year. It's easier to start things now when the weather is nice and the days are long, than starting on Jan 1st.

buffy sorry things are tough with your mum, but I like your six goals and working towards them each day.ref saving for a deposit you could do a sealed pot for that.OK it wouldn't be much, but it would be a start!
thanks for the good wishes,my dad is very ill at the present.it was only today that I found out that he had been ill since january - sigh

don't tell anyone Chev but I have got a bank account that I have had since I was a child that I pay my coppers into strictly for a deposit.....

Families are so hard, they are meant to equip you with all the skills to live in the world and sometimes it just feel like such a fight. Shocking that no one told you. spend as much time with your Dad as you can and try very hard to put other things to one side.

I am terribly afraid my ex is in trouble of some kind. no idea what but I just am overwhelmed with worry and fear for him. When I asked him he avioded the question well he answered with a question (do you tell me everytime things are wrong? er no I don't, well then). very frustrating. but he is right, I don't share with him (or anyone these day - aside from you poor lot). I shall just have to wait and see and hope it is not serious.

Goal wise, I ate ok, muelsi again did have a creme egg but aside from that good, very little exercise but I did two hours of gardening (organised goal) debt wise it was a no spend day and I made a payment to my CC. Away from work I feel like a different person. like it is possible.

Tomorrow i plan to do yet more gardening and spend the rest of the week end marking stuff. I have made a decision to adopt another guinea pig...........which I suspect I might regret. my two are ok but not exactly getting on, one is very skittish and the other is lovely but they don't seem very together, I wanted to get a third to create more of a herd and spread both the love(!) and the huffiness....However doing further reading I find that a trio is a difficult group to make work and it might lead to more problems..........mind you worse case scenario I have one piggie who either needs a pair or a new home.......best case scenario having a "man" around calms my ladies down and the three snuggle together........as opposed to one of my ladies constantly on her guard and freaking out....

right this staying up late won't help me tomorrow

    Love to you all

  • Thinking of you Chev x

Buffy - you call 2 hours of gardening little excercise! You would have more than burned off a creme egg.

Don't say that you will do marking all weekend, you will be miserable and stressed, why not do it in blocks of books or time. Spread it out with fun stuff in the middle. The person you are when you are not at work is the real you - we all have to be someone else at work, even if we love our jobs. Just remember that it is work to live not live to work. ;)

Hope you get the piggies sorted. x
