Sorry urg but I support Arsenal too. It isn't the chocolate I don't like Buffy, it is the hazelnut part of it that is gross! But trifle sounds yummy

  • I think I had 8 hours sleep which is the most I have had all week. I think I have been managing 4 or 5 hours a night this week. How do new Mums do it!

It was a tough week. They have announced redundancies at work well the possibility at least. People are naturally upset, frightened and in some cases angry about it all. Its been very difficult, there have been arguments, conversations, plans and stand up rows. Its always such a hard place to work and this has made it so much worse.

Plus its the same thing that always happens at the end of term, a big rush to get everything done. I am just tired of it all. Stuff at home has been hard, although I am sticking to my guns re working in the evening. Mum doesn't like it but I CANNOT give any one any reason to question my ability to do my job, i must get the marking done.

I must also remember that Mum is not going to change and I have to let go of somethings she says that hurt. I also have to realise that my sister and bil are not going to change. SO RUDE. SO f**king rude. we were watching a film - mum's birthday and when it came to singing happy birthday he didn't pause the film, just carried on watching it and then told us what we had missed. i was , the film was sky plussed and could have easily been bloody paused so we could sing properly. The whole reason we were there was for her Birthday. Basically the whole evening was a catalogue of incidents like that and I spent a great deal of time in the kitchen. Oh yeah, I bought Mum a DSi, yes hugely expensive but she was made up when she opened it so that was worth it(she plays on my DS pretty much every day), the idea being that sis would buy a recipe game for her - last minute and not letting me know sis decides not to buy a game.......thus Mum has nothing to "play", although the DSi has stuff on it so it didn't matter in terms of yesterday, its just another example of how sis will say one thing and do another. However as I said at the start its unlikely any of them will change and equally I am going to have my ideas of how things should be done. Just have to grit my teeth on family occasions.

I have to be honest and say that i do feel unhappy but i am not going to make any decisions about my future untill i am out of debt. I am fairly sure that if I pass my driving test things will be a lot easier, but I think I know that will be temporary improvement and that i need to think seriously - budget wise about moving out. And come to terms with my aversion to renting. I so want a house!

any how I am starving so off to find some breakfast.......

    Love Buffy xxxx

I used to have an aversion to renting, dead money etc, all the usual stuff! However, in order to buy my ex out I sold our house 4 years ago and moved into rented and I can honestly say I have never regretted it :) I live in a lovely apartment of a standard I could never afford to buy, and have no issues with maintenance as I don't own it!

May not be for everybody, and I appreciate that I have been lucky with a good landlord, but don't tule it out altogether. Reading your diary I do not think your life is going to improve unless you change or domestic situation (sorry if that sounds harsh, it's well meant) and renting may be a means to an end for you

  • Thanks Shoe Gal - good news on the Weight loss btw xxxx

I have been dreaming so long of owning a place, its been part of the plan for so long that it is hard to let go of. I also think without any kids to look after me in my old age (how depressing is this post) I need some kind of investment......And it makes me angry that my couple friends who earn less then me can get a mortgage even with debts when I can't because I am on my own (goes off on a rant about the unfairness of it all). I did like renting for the four years i did it, it was fun but my interests have changed since then and the things I want to do are different now.

Anyhow I wasn't going to think about it properly till I have got shot of the debts and can drive.

The weatherr is nice today, I should be going out tonight but I am so tired so I am not going. I am SO looking forward to a night in!

I also have a £5 voucher from the Daily mail to spend in the Body Shop and have to get my new glasses!

When I come home I shall do some money sorting, between the glass and Mum's Birthday/mother's day this month is interesting to say the least.
