Don't you just hate it when people poo poo you say about the garden in your case , and yet don't do anything to actually help out. And then they are surprised when something nasty happens like the next door neighbour taking some of your garden....

I really feel for you trying to work with people in your family with this attitude. Kind of head in the sand about life.....

So well done you on understanding that sometimes you have to just get on AND DO! Have a go, it is 50 50 whether we succeed or fail, yet often (speaking of me here) it is so much easier to take the 50% fail by not doing it at all, rather than trying to attempt it, and maybe succeed.

Sorry buffy not putting this very well. But MG's challenges have at least got me thinking about why I think some things are 'too hard' when they aren't really....I just have to consciously put some time into them.

And I have come to the conclusion that at least part of why I am self sabotaging, is that it would bring me into conflict with my OH. Who has a pretty cushy life really at the moment. Hardly ever has to do any housework, or running around after the boys etc. Yet bemoans that fact that we have no money...which we could solve if I got a job. But part of me is rebelling cos then I would be doing all the house work/running around I am doing now AND doing a job.....

Oh I don't know sorry this has turned into a winge. So will stop now.

Hope that your internals have now settled down a bit.

You KNOW that you CAN do your list. IT IS ACHIEVABLE. Each time you think too hard you have to take yourself by the scruff of the neck and throw your self at it.

Imagine how much better YOU will feel when you have done it ALL in the time allotted. How much of a boost to your self esteem would that be?

GO GIRL YOU CAN DO IT

*who slinks out to go and do some listing on trade me, that she has been putting off*

ps ref skin care. I only use water on my face, no soap or cleanser at all. Haven't used soap on my face for nearly 30 years, unless really muddy....

  • Hello Chev xxx

Whinge away, it is good for the soul to get it all out!

I still feel awful. I have a backache and where I was sick yesterday my ribs and tummy hurt loads.

    However I am grateful for

    1. a flushing toilet
    2. my bed(I love my bed)
    3. My Sister - yes I was STUNNED too! She came over to do the garden yesterday, found me in bed, I must have looked awful cos she came round later on too and today!
    4. The microwave
    5. my friends and all their messages.
    6. The boss from my second job who actually said your health is more important than work.

I am going to have Cocoa and go to bed. I am not going into work tomorrow.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

    Dear Buffy,
Look after yourself - your health is very important. Get rested as being I'll can really take it out of you.

    Urg x x
  • My 2nd boss just sent me an e mail saying that my health is more important than work, it made me well up.

I was thinking all my plans for being debt free and afterwards rely on me staying my current job for another year. It would be for the money.

This being ill thing tho. As it is not a brain cell killing headache I can actually think clearly. Not one person from work has even e mailed to say get better/how are you doing. One very good friend has phoned and my lift person dropped some work off for me. I have to phone up each day and e mail at least two people-0 response. I swear people have been told to not be nice lol!

I day dream about doing my second job full time. however I doubt people will be able to afford tutoring soon....anyhow it is another option for when I am debt free, Lou you were right when you said they wouldn't have such a hold over me.

this is really only halfmy thoughts. I have to go back to bed now.

    xxxx

Only go back to work if you are 100% better. The last thing you would want to do is to inadvertantly give it to someone else....

Must try and find some work for the next few months....
