iss facility services..Fines and enforcement section

Hi,hoping for some advice!
Parked in a car park In southport on Saturday 28th August, and before leaving the car we placed my Blue badge on the dash board,
It was a very windy day and it appears the badge blew off as we shut the door, sadly we didint notice, until we got back and found it on the floor.
Anyway, after 15 minutes we got back to the car to find a ticket from the above company on the dash board.
Anyone ever heard of them? Are they legit? And what are our chances of a reprieve when we tell them about the badge?
The car park was Ocean Plaza.

Thanks all :D

As this was a private car-park and a private parking company, then you can relax. You do not owe them a penny. Do not contact them and ignore all correspondence from them. In spite of any notices in the car-park the blue-badge scheme does not apply on private land. For further reassurance please read all the other posts on here that deal with private parking tickets. And, by the way, it's not a "fine", it's an invoice.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Blue badges mean nothing in private car parks but nor do 'fines' imposed by companies with no legal authority to do so. Ignore this notice and any threatening letters demanding payment.

  • Not heard of them but obviously just another parasite PPC. The use of the words "Fines and Enforcement Section" alone is enough to sink them should they ever be stupid enough to try it on in court.

As the others have said, ignore.

The only company of that name I can find is this. They seem to be glorified office cleaners (or "facilities management" to use modern jargon)

  • Thanks to all of you....
If I ignore, and they pursue this, how far can/do they go?
    Many thanks for the help
  • The vast majority of PPC scammers just go to the threatening letter stage and give up because they know their silly 'fines' are unenforceable in law. You may get letters from debt collectors pretending to be bailiffs and debt collectors pretending to be solicitors. Ignore them all but get back on here if any cause you anxiety. You owe this scum nothing. Put the money to better use.

Could you contact ISS about this pondlife harming their image if you have dealings with them? I am sure they would be pleased to have a little word with the scammers.

It's a different branch of the same company, they have alot of fingers in different 'pies'. Regardless the advice will be to ignore them like all the other PPC's.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
