Morning all - lovely blue skies here too, so should get all my washing dried today too. Can't remember the last time I used the tumble drier tbh - progress!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLEIGH - 21 today. I remember being 21. Just.

Bun - sorry to hear that DH was so ungrateful last night. I must say, that is one thing I don't suffer from - "roles" in the relationship any more ;)

Luc - you are doing so well. Early mornings are not my thing. I did it when I was on my weight loss drive and was in the gym most mornings by 6.45am. Once I was there I really enjoyed it, but getting up in the dark and de-icing the car at 6.30am in winter was not the best way to start my day.

Sammy - DD2 told me to sack my cleaner too as she said that she could do a better job. I said ok....so now DD2 is my cleaner. She does the whole house top to bottom and I pay her instead. And she does do a better job too. And doesn't leave lights on all day.

Lou - it must be hard having to bring MIL back to reality. Very very sad when someone's mind goes like that. I hope you enjoy your lunch out.

Tenmah - you will love Center Parcs. Jealous.....

Suzy, your FB updates of HK sounded so romantic.....

OH has his moments but I think that women tend to be more imaginative on the romance front.

MIL has just rang up to say she had lost some money and now found it, she told OH that she thought one of us had taken it but knows now that we didnt:eek: she says its £30K in a makeup case.....obviously its not but I reckon its £3K from the sound of things.

We are seriously going to have to do something. I dont think she is ready for a home yet but this cant go on.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • Lou, that is so sad about MIL. Mine is just a crabby biatch.

All I would have liked was some aknowledgement that the house looked nice and the meal was good. Honestly, he needs suck a kick up the arris but I dont know what to do. He just seems to think I am happy the way things are.

Luc-Good luck with DH ECG. Please let us know how he gets on. Are you going with him?

Lou :grouphug: its such a shame when these things happen.

My DD2 has offered to do the cleaning but her cleaning isn't up to much and i would have to tell her to do it fifty times before she would do it. My cleaners were great tbh...two of them came Friday morning and had gone through the whole house in two hours...

I am not getting them back...not yet. I can't really afford it and am seriously thinking of spending the money I would have spent on a cleaner on renting an office in the high street. Working from home is driving me insane. It can be like working in a battle zone sometimes and the number of clients coming to see me at home seriously stresses me out.

I am going to see the offices on Tuesday afternoon, not sure if anything is in it so may need some desks and stuff.....sigh more expense...I seem to spend more than I earn!

    Morning!

It's a lovely day here too, sun shining but was a wee bit fresh this morning!

So far the best bit of today was discovering that my wages are already in the bank - payday is tomorrow! Worst bit is having to work, but thats the same every day! hehe!

Hope everyone who has the bank holiday has a great day, and hope everyone who is working has a good day too!

No - he's to go get it attached (?) and come home and go about his usual business (thankfully its TOM this week (I think:o) cos I don't think he'd want to explain certain increases in heart rate to the doc:o:p:D

I am not sure what to suggest about OH bunny...mine gets in a right strop every Friday night cos I don't appear to be ecstatic to see him. I always look foward to seeing him but I am just not that outwardly emotional when it comes to showing my feelings..

(And I have had lots of beauty treatments as I used to work for Clarins and HAD to have every single treatment they did so I could describe it, hard life huh?)

  • Sammy,
Word of warning-if you have people visit your house (clients) and anything happens-and I mean ANYTHING! like a leaky pipe etc-your insurance will most likely not pay out unless you declare it now that you have people coming into the property. I have heard some hair raising stories about insurance companies and I know you have had problems yourself. Getting an office may be the way forward. Can you not just get second hand stuff off eBay? We have a place here that sells second hand office furniture and IKEA does cheap desks as well.

I was just going to suggest Freecycle as well Sammy. Might not be tip top quality and bits won't match, but it might be ok to get you started?

Also I assume you have public liability insurance for clients visiting? Like Bun I've heard some horror stories. I'm sure you do...just thought I'd stick my beak in :)
