Ask at a local independent orange dealer who'll be glad of your custom unlike the national chains, shop around they are avai;able for free on a Business Plus 120 tariff.
Currently on offer for 6 months 1/2 price on the lowest £22/month.
Okay correction I just checked and they pulled the offer at end of Sept!

I have an original TomTom Go which I can type into with my finger on the touch screen. A lot of the latest SatNav's seem to be getting tiny and need a stylus to input. It worries me that if a screen is too small you cannot easily glance at it but will spend longer focussing on it. A bit of a safefy thing.
How about 'virtually' new units here?
TomTom One £129 6 months warranty and all the car bits included.

Or this £139 Sony U50 looks like a good specification

Also available as B-grade stock for £119

What diffrence will that make - it still won't work through the screen and you cant stick it on the roof
Forgot to add - It'll eat batteries, unless of course you use a power lead, which defeats the object.0 -

Well have you heard of rear windows, and you could put it up near the sunroof without a naff cable hanging down.
And NO they do not EAT batteries either. mine lasts all week with out a charge. And certainly longer than the mobile running the sat nav anyway, and they both charge using the same car adaptor so no problem at all.
You can postion the B/T gps unit right down in the corner of a front screen where there is no heater element in the screen, and you can still see the mobile on your dash, and no cables running round your car.....but hey its up to you!0 -
can anyone tell me if you can buy additional maps for the halfords navsure unit. I am looking at buying a satnav for my parents who live in France but don't have a big budget.0

Still, my wife's chuffed.
Look at the front windscreen around your rear view mirror. Does it have a kind of black spotted area? (most cars with reflective windscreens do) put your gps (wired) here then you can hide the cable going across the top of the windscreen and down the bit between the front and side windows and across the dash. Did it with mine and an A1 job (rear view mirror also helps hide the GPS receiver)"Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Garmin have been around for years and do updates for there Kit. NavSure is Halfords own brand.
I know who I expect to be around next year.. My i3 has already had 2 updates to it and I know there is more likely to be updates from Garmin than a Car parts stores OEM solution.0 -
Garmin I3 Sat Nav is now on sale at CarphoneWarehouse at £99.99.
Site shows out of stock so I called them - they still have stock left and ar delivering tomorrow.0 -
Geez will you males stop arguing about whose car-related bit is biggest and best? You know what we females say about cars and men! When will you get it that a car is NOT a secondary sexual characteristic, not as far as we're concerned anyway????
Whatever suits you best IS the best...the best for YOU.0
