  • Ladies, your makes look brilliant.

I've just had a shock. I decided to climb on a stool to check the top of my wardrobe searching for my late mother's knitting & Crochet needles and I found:

-Mother's old needle bag with more needles than I can ever use for the rest of me natural!

    - A bag of chunky blue wool with a half knitted jacket plus pattern I started when I worked as a district staff nurse between 1993- 1996!

    - a bag with numerous embroidery threads , yards and yards of the most beautiful 6" white cotton lace. a lot of narrow lace AND
a massive tablecloth I must have started embroidering possibly as early as 1980ish not long after I got married!

Think I might have intended the tablecloth for my mother and she died 22 years ago this month... feel awful at my forgetting this but life got in the way.

Will have to finish this project after Christmas and give it to another family member I think

What's more the standard of my work is surprisingly good. I'd completely forgotten about it and seem to have been able to do more embroidery stitches than I thought!

Also found the original '100' embroidery stitches I bought at the same time.
Can't wait to shop my embroidery class tutor.

Now where am I going to store all this stuff and not forget it again?

    ??Bigger house??!!

Never heard of them, whats in the sweets other than marzipan. Some sweets can be frozen, and then defrosted closer to the time of giving and they will last for 7-10 days in an aritight container. Its hard to tell how long they will last. I google the name and put on shelf life and all depending on ingredients depends on the answer.

    Hello all :j

Fudge recipe sounds yummy.......wonder if I could get OH to make some.......;) (I know it'll be lethal to let me near the oven.............lol)

Rosanna -what a find !!!:T Lucky you.........what a lot of stuff. Have you got a cupboard (or space for one)that you could store it in, or a blanket box ?

Well not done a lot today except make another button necklace -took three goes to get past three buttons with the thread tangling............it was third time lucky and that's something extra to give someone (unless I keep it.............lol) Then I got all my fabric samples out and made a 'soft tree'.........did two last year so thought I'd add a few more. They're only small and sit on the shelves of the pine dresser. Meant to do lot more that one but it seemed to take an age to do it.

Coffee jars should be dry enough tomorrow to put brownie mix in and I've got enough fabric in my samples to make a little 'hat' for them.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Wow you were quick............

I have been busy, made all my tags for pots of gold, and I created a new item.

I got a smoothie cup from the lovely local coffee shop, I have put in iridescent sparkles on the bottom, then my orange bath bomb stars and on top a scrunchy sponge.

Here is my Orange bath-bomb Smoothie

    What do you all think?

How long do the fudge kebabs keep for? How do you store them? Thanks

If they're wrapped I'd think they'd last up to 2 weeks.... could be wrong tho! The fudge I make lasts up to 2 weeks).

You can freeze marzipan so if you're making it in advance stick them in the freezer until you need them. Marzipan kept cool and dry will keep for approx a week.
