My cookie cutters came today, i also ordered a star shaped icing cutter I picked medium thought it would be quite nice on the cupcakes or even to decorate the cookies with different coloured icing, its really teeny , glad I didn't order small now. The large would have been a better size, but not to worry it will still have its uses.

Now ponders how quickly I can get the decorating stuff cleaned and put away, put 2 rooms back together, ebay stuff listed and cleared from living room floor and couch, ironing and washing pile sorted and I have done no housework for over a week (to busy deorating and ebaying lol) so need to get stuck into that.

So I'm thinking might buy the ingredients at food shop at weekend and attempt it early next week. Seebea what reciepe did you use?? Well how much to get them all from one batch
  • Wow the star tree is fantastic....really want to try this....will be hard tring to do it in half term with my oldest around though. Maybe one evening when I have nothing else to do!?!?!?!
Also loving the sock monkeys.I have never tried these before but think I will have to wait until after this Chrsitmas now as my to do list is far too long as it is.

Hi Nicola, I used the recipe from the back of the box. Legendmum found it on the Lakeland website Clicky

One batch was enough to make 2 of each cutter size which is what you need to make the full tree. I rolled the bigger ones too thin, so will make them thicker in future. There was enough dough left over to make around 10 more of the 7cm star cookies.

SaryMcLary, loving the recyled boxes - you would never know they look so professional :T

All I can say is WOW! took me a few days but I got there in the end. All your ideas, photos are fantastic. I now need to go and make my list of what I am making for who.

I like to bake at home and recently made chocolates, which didn't last that long.

I'm c**p at anything in the kitchen and my sewing skills are very limited (something to do with age I think).............lol:rotfl:The fingers aren't what they were.

Been making coaster calendars all afternoon.......did them last year .......and started to toss and turn in my sleep now thinking of the things still to do......
Oh well, whats not done this year will be on the list for next year...............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
