    Morning all

really got to grips with my Gc this month. something in my brain has just clicked. And I get excited when I get three 3 meals out of 1 pork chop. lol. My OH has really noticed the difference in the meals aswell but for the better. As Im planning more and cooking from scratch, the meals are so much tastier.

Im loving the menu planning and reading all your posts. I have picked up so many tips. but like everyone says Ive started off slowly. Concentrating on my food and groceries this month. then building up from there to HM cleaning products etc. It all sounds good.

Bought myself for my birthday yesterday a breadmaker. But wont be delivered until Monday. Really excited about it. Love homemade bread.
    Happy days

btw does anyone know how much energy a breadmaker uses? I know it will vary depending what programme. I tend to do a 2.5 hour rapid loaf most often, or a 5 hour one overnight on economy 7. Sadly my kids won't eat hm bread only cr*p white sliced, or best of both at a push.:(
  • Spent £16.21 at Iceland on a few bits and pieces. Got a poorly elderly cat with Kidney problems who hates Kidney food from vets so advised to feed him white fish and chicken. Got latest batch from Iceland but if anyone has any ideas where fish may be cheaper I would be very grateful? Local fishmonger is soooo expensive!

Mr A delivery planned for tomorrow which will hopefully fill cupboards again for a while.

Keep up the good work everyone :)

cookiemum, might it be worth asking local supermarket to save you any that's about to go OOD? Was thinking of the great british waste prog the other day. Co-*p and Morris*ns were there and seemed receptive to the idea, and I believe Co-*p is receptive to reasonable asks
