Hi Want2Bdebtfree, MrS has been much cheaper for me when I've used My Supermarket to compare. It may be that we buy different things and the difference is in that. And Asda will almost always be cheaper than the others but I don't like their stuff. That's purely a personal choice.
Hi Spiggs - could be cos we were in Sainsburys itself as I needed to use my nector points that I collect through EDF. I just bought normal stuff of meat, pasta veg etc nothing special... DID get a bargain on pedigree puppy food 2 lots of 6 tins for £5. Perhaps if they had the scanner machine like we use in tesco where we prepack it would be better. I just found overall on meat, veg, pasta bread, puppy food, Mt T was cheaper. Personal preference I think u may be right...What ever works as long as we are saving!Do not normally use Asda as not over keen on quality of products but needed to book an online delivery for Friday we come home from holiday and Tesco online for some reason does not always like my debit card! so to be on the safe side decided not to use Tesco and registered with Asda and got delivery free. Would not pay £5.50 on a regular basis for delivery.
Anyway all hoping I come in below budget this month as we are off on hols for just over a week : ) Sunny Blackpool here we come. wishing everyone good luck with their challenges.

Quick visit to Herons and spent £9.05 but have 2 carrier bags full!
Frozen strawberries/ blackberries only 59p a bag and are great for puds and smoothies when fresh ones run out. Went blackberry picking with the kids but all the best ones too high to pick so might mix a few frozen ones in and attempt the grated blackberry bake posted on here.
Enjoy the sunshine:)

been foraging today for the first time ever. Realised I was about 2 weeks too late for blackberries but I got about a carrier bag full of yellow plums. Not bad. Will de-stone them as stew them to have for pudding all the week with icecream or custard.
A great NSD for me. Oh and I did my mid-week shop in my mums kitchen lol! I just stood there with a open bag whilst she filled it with all kinds of goodies. Like some pork chops for tea, yum.Happy days

the shopping includes 2 bags of dog mixer - that will last 4 weeks,
charmin toilet roll £5 from morrisons so that should last a while,
got quite a lot from tesco including stationary & candles,
for anyone that shops at heron they had heinz toast toppers 2 for £1, usually about 80p each in tesco, they are lovely for supper or a quick snack when busy,

Was hoping for a nsd today, but it didn't happen! Spent under a fiver, so I'm happy at that. Had job interview, and then picked DD up from Drs and it's next to a Netto. Popped in and bought some brocolli which has been knocked down to 20p, 10 eggs knocked down to 60p, so will have enough eggs to make rock cakes and fairy cakes I think with DD's help over the weekend. Bought DD a bar of choc for 35p to say thanks for being understanding, she's done really well with the lack of money, so I don't begrudge her a big bar of choc once in a while. Also bought some soy sauce and a couple of other bits. Will update sig shortly.September Grocery Challenge: £200 (28th Aug - 30th Sept)
£91.64 spent so far. Aiming for 10 NSD: 1/100
