I've done it again! Went to Aldi for 4 packs of 99p breakfast cereal, and ended up spending £15.10, I really must avoid the shops if I'm to come in on budget this month! Hopefully I will do it as I don't NEED anything...famous last words, lol!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Well done everyone on getting on or near the totals
Well.... first day of my new challenge and I have spend up already!!!! £60 spend in Asda but that should do me. They have a really good deal on extra special burgers in their chiller section. They had cheese burgers reduced from £3 for 4 to £1 for 4 on a roll back so should be available around the country.
I am going to have a jamie oliver recipe for dinner- Asian chicken noodle broth and a banana puff pastry pud for dinner. I did however succumb to a pack of iced mince pies- I know! It's well early but I do love them so they will be nice as a treat with a cuppa.
They had loads of bulk offers in there at the mo- 80 wash pack of powder (Areal actilift) was £10 and a big bag of dishwasher tabs (Fairy) for £9. Pretty good!
Will need to get some of their special sweet tins later in the month as all the neighbours have kiddies and they do trick or treat.
Have a good day all!Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790 -
After reading these boards for weeks now i have decided to join, much better than facebook. Everybody should read these boards before they go shopping because it makes u not want to spend your money, i have found i think about buying stuff now and dont feel the urge to buy stuff i dont really want or need.
I work for one of the main supermarkets and my unenviable job is to reduce stuff and woopsies, sometimes it feels like a war zone with me being attacked by trollies and shoppers. Occasionally i will get bargins. My problem is that i can often spend upto ten pound a night on items i probably would'nt get but just because i am there i get it, my solution is only to take a pound to work with me so i hav'nt got the money to spend,i'm amazed by the money i have saved by doing this.
My freezer and cupboards are full ,does anybody have the problem i have that when the freezer is half empty i start to panic that i hav'nt got anything in my freezer and i need to buy stuff even though there is loads left. Will start making myself not buy anything until i can see the bottom of each shelf. I will start my challenge the begining of october and pay for everything by cash, if i hav'nt got the money on me i can't buy it. My limit is £280 hopefully reducing it over the year.

Evening All,
I don't get paid until next Wednesday but should only need milk from Farmfds. Determined to eat from the freezer and finish what I cooked up at the beginning of the month before doing it again. I am thankful for the courgette and tomatoe soup recipe. My courgette plant is still fruiting. I've also got sweet pepper, garlic, spuds and carrots that I can pick from the garden. I just might try Lidell, never have so hoping to find a few bargains. All the leaflets came today with the free paper, this makes it so hard to insist on an NSD when the temptation is there to go out and get the offers. I'm not the only one am I?

8 days to go here. Need to look at what's in the freezer and make soup tonight from the last bits of the chicken I roasted at the start of the week. Also need to check what's in the fridge in case anything needs to be used up!

Had a little spend at local shop, pushing my total nearer to my budget. I have got to be really controlled in my next supermarket shop to keep within budget. Fingers crossed. I'll definitely give it my best shot!0
