Come on folks its 3.5hrs since they closed surely we have something else to chat about!

I know hands up the one who DIDN'T get a free console this week.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ah Ben500 don't you know that some Tesco stores in Scotland never close ... 24 hours to try your heart out. CS close at 10 but there is usually some nice soul who will photocopy all POS and SELs for you if you ask.

Fair enough, we all have different views on this, but in my mind the store staff are the company. When the staff speak to me, it is the company speaking to me. When the staff get things wrong, it is the company getting things wrong.

True, Joanne and Kevin have been helpful, but these matters should never have got that far. Too many of us have had to endure intimidation, rudeness, thuggery and lies as part of our long and unpleasant battles to get the company policy invoked.

I think the R+R policy is more about getting them off the hook when they've committed criminal offences than customer goodwill. I have experienced very little in the way of goodwill from store staff in the last few weeks.

Like wise. Don't get me wrong I'm not having a go, I just think Tesco in the broadest sense have done right so far and the local staff are doing them and us a disservice by behaving the way they do.

At the moment I make a distinction between those staff and the HO staff who I think are representing the broader approach of tesco the organisation.

That said, if the organisation are happy to employ the types of people who operate locally what does that say about the organisation....

Did the North Manchester tour de Tesco today - 7 stores in 6 hours.
What a day... Ive done three "oops I must have left my wallet in the car" and had one sucessful refund on a phone.

Picked up a PSP with Trekken and was offered first the £10 that was the deal, then when I objected, was offered a refund for the game only. I thought about what I'd read on here and agreed to take the game refund - that way I have proof they have accepted that I was overcharged and I can use that as evidence to persue a refund of the console.

I guess every MSE'r was out and about today. What a lot of interest there was in the games and phones dept everywhere.

Bumped into Debtkiller (hi !) in queue at CS desk in one store - there's strength in numbers. Obnoxious woman at the CS desk claimed that managers weren't in the store on Sundays and whilst she was making these excuses she was getting worked up and took it out on a little old lady that tried to as her a question without queing!!!

I can't beleive how many pages of posts there have been since yesterday!!!

Our first R+R!....now I am just so curious as it was right on closing time if they will have removed all posters in the morning, whether I should have the gaul to go in again and if the posters are still up bag myself a XBOX 360 premium pack. Anyone else had the gaul to get an R+R and do the same the following day, I am just concerned that it will be the same team on customer services and me taking advantage things won't go as smoothly next time round.

    Tesco, every little helps :-)

My brother got his PSP from a store on Thursday and they refused his R&R. Rang HO Friday morning to complain who told him the refund would be waiting at CS. He went in after lunch on Friday, collected his refund went into the store and they still had the posters up  . He bought another and obviously it never went through, so went straight to CS and they refunded him again in the space of 5 mins. :rotfl: I would not have had the gaul to do that, but he said the picture on the CS womans face was such a picture. Advertising was promptly removed!!! :D
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

After reading the posts here, whilst doing our weekly shopping noticed the posters up in our local Tesco, and sure enough during the self service checkout a White PSP + Tekken was ours for the taking, already have one myself but my wife is always using mine to play Loco Roco and she is not a gamer! R+R no problem at customer services desk, manager was not argumentative to the store policy, just more curious why the discount didn't go through and made a note.

This has to be the best post on here, thanks to the original poster..after the disappointment of not being able to bag a Xbox for £10 at Boots last month even after arguing the price, this has certainly made up for it.

By the way for those in the know, the White Ceramic PSP Value Pack we got was firmware version 2.6 and motherboard not a ta-082, so perfect for downgrading to version 1.5 for homebrew.

    Tesco, every little helps :-)

The black base pack is also version 2.6 firmware. Not sure what the motherboard is. I didn't think it was possible to downgrade the firmware on a 2.6? How do you do it?

    Thanks.

Congrats on your first R&R - and a worthy one it was, too! :D
