Tesco misprice discussion area part 10

PSP GOTW is Tekken again but it isnt working still with the base pack and someone mentioned the giga pack with 2 games.

Xbox 360 the poster says Just Cause but the yellow sel indicates it it The Godfather buying just cause and xbox the discount doesnt come off so r+r

Right, armed that Tekken doesnt work with PSP, or buy Xbox 360 with just cause ... im off to my local Tesco ...

Noooo...if the money DOES come off at the till and it is not RnRable then say on of the following lines...

1. Oh, Sh*t sorry...I've left my wallet at home
2. Oh dam...thats out of budget, I thought it was less...let me go choose a different item
3. Oh no...I've picked up the wrong game...I just remember my nephew said he wanted Pokemon or something
4. Me know no no english

Then walk away...works everytime

Oh...and if you just so happen to live next to a store that has a self scanning till...then your loving it

Yeah, broke my R&R duck today, in style i think...

Went to store 1, they had the Xbox console with the GOTW (Just Cause) on offer, spotted the yellow label under the godfather game, so thought quids in here, went to the counter with empty boxes to find out they don't have the game in....
So went to shop 2 - they had the game not the console....

Shop 3 Bingo , got both on display, grabbed them went to the checkout with the boxes - was charged for The Xbox full system £279.97
and the game £39.96 and a couple of bits of shopping, took the items to the car, then came back in with the receipt and a puzzled look on my face and said... "my wife has just pointed out that we didn't get the discount advertised", CS lady phoned the manager, then came of the phone and appologised and said "i will need your card to refund the £20 overcharge", at which point i pointed out their policy (which was on a big blue board behind her), and stated that thats what i wanted, a refund and goods, another phone call to the manager, mumble mumble... OK sir we will give you the full refund - nice.
Left shop smilling, got home thats when after a bit of investigating found out thatthey had given me the core system (£199.97), so another trip to the shop to complain. Met the manager this time who was quiet embarsed about the situation, turns out after an hour of me kicking up a BIG fuss in the shop, that, They had the Full system box on the shelf, the SEL was for the full system, best bit is they only have the COre systems in stock :O

My main complaint (after they had sourced a full system from shop 1), was that i had had to do about 50 miles of running about over their mistakes and that anyone who had bought an Xbox system, had paid for a full sytem and been given a core one instead, the manager assured me that was not the case, but upon me requesting when the last delivery had come in and how many consoles were on it and how many did they have left in stocknow, i was advised that he was not at liberty to divulge that information.
So i left with the contact details of their head office, after i told the manager that i would be seeking compensation for the hassel i had had today all through Tesco's, and i will be considering who i should inform about their obvious misselling.

what a day, but £320 for nowt!

just been to my tesco, it still have the GOTW as Tekken, so i tried, i was a bit greedy though, i got the giga pack with 2 game, which is 219.xx and of cos GOTW, the offer didn't kick off. so back to CS, and found out they just given us the Giga pack but not with 2 games. the SA apologise to us and offer us refund on game, but we refused. speaked to the manger, the manger keep saying we picked the wrong pack... so we give up. Do you guys think worth a try to ring the HO?

Jiking 70 thats the console I bought with the GOTW but my discount came off. I wonder why? I thought I'd picked up the wrong Xbox but it looks like it was correct.
Is this scanning correctly in anyone elses store. I thought these discounts were done at head office?
Tekken is the correct GOTW for PSP. The poster I saw said from 22/09/06 so you should be ok until next friday unless HO corrects the problem first.

No poster for xbox or DS but......

small yellow 6"x6" sign saying "buy an xbox360 or PS2 with GOTW etc etc"

Tiger woods - yellow label.(GOTW)
PS2 Yellow label
discount should not apply.
I left it ...i've had what I want :-)
