new to R&Rs but here is what I have been "coincidently" overcharged on in the last week...(working co-operatively with another forum member:))

    Scooby Doo gameboy advanced game

    ;)

Would you care to share the details - sel/sticker price and actual price charged ?

    Thanks in advance

I haven't been brave enough for the whole console-plus-game bit yet, I just stick to the books, cds, dvds and games ;)

GBA games and DS games not in the charts top 10 or whatever tend to have a sticker on them. Sometimes this sticker is incorrect. Thats where the r&r comes in. You just have to do what we do... scan EVERY single game in the store with a sticker on with the price scanner and hope 2 find 1 that scans higher than the stickered price. EASY r&r NO PROBLEMS

Sorry boys and girls but it is game over. Little John however much you can talk them into it Tescos have from THIS WEEK changed the white posters. They now have a picture of the game saying for example: Game of the week "tekken" save £10 when you buy with a psp console so there is NO WAY whatsoever u can argue that it is for the console also as a package. The wording is crafted differently- crafty !!!!!!s!!

Err, no, sorry. The posters have always said "Game of the Week xxxxxxxxxx Save £xx when you buy with xxxxxxxxx console".

    For example:

    xbox2.jpg

    This is nothing new.
I took this pic a few weeks ago.

I've had 3 out of my 5 Xboxes R+R'd on the basis of this poster alone. The discount IS on the package, not just the game. It's a multisave offer that requires you to buy the console and the game to trigger the discount.

In fact, just taking a quick look back through this thread and the previous threads, it seems that many of us have had R+Rs on the basis of this poster alone.

As usual, you are 100% correct, Ben. Here's the exact wording from asda's site:

What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged or undercharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

Please also be aware that you can get the £2 voucher if you have been UNDERCHARGED as well!
I didn't know that. Might have to have a butchers round the local one (which isn't that local though)

If you've got a large trolley full of stuff how are you going to know which products are over or undercharged
Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO

Unfortunately, the store said they knew nothing about the refund when I got there. Not a happy bunny when I left there.

Does anybody know if Kevin Kelly works on a Saturday morning, or shall I call him on Monday morning.

    Thanks.

Same happened to me bit of persistance and I got my PS2 but got to wait for the game to come into stock.

The game is over on the great console R&R

All the stores are removing posters about consoles and game of the week, I will be very surprised if anyone finds any out there this week.

Also, very slim pickings out there for any other mis-prices

Sony PSP Giga pack + game of the week
XBOX 360 Core system + game of the week
Sony PS2 + game of the week
Nintendo DS Lite + game of the week
    Buffalo wireless router (80quid)
    Scooby Doo gameboy advanced game

They're all in the bag minus the DS which is questionable...

On closer inspection after buying it, then sign actually said...10quid off the GAME of the week when you buy the console instead of saying SAVE 10quid on a yellow SEL lable...like the others did...I believe tesco have cottoned on...the game I could get for free but more likely than not I will have to return the DS, as I was overcharged on the game and not on the whole bundle

A point to take in mind for all you fellow R&Rers ;)
Well done! Sounds like you found some stores that left up out of date posters and POS. Wonder if they've changed them this week...you should go and check. If they have, know that it's partly (mostly) due to you. :D

Trust me when I say that many stores only skim read emails and memos from HO... You will still find stores out there with the posters and POS up. ;)
