Did you have a receipt, and if so had they not scrawled all over it?

Yes I did have the receipt and they had written "Overcharged"and "Collected" over it. :-)

I know that , if you are unlucky and the discount on the various consoles plus game DOES come off, you can take the stuff back within 28 days to another Tesco and get a refund if the stuff is unopened/unused.

The problem is that the games might not be unopened - and Tesco will almost certainly refund the console but tell you they can't do anything about the game. Unfortunately, a few stores are still selling you the game case at the till and sending you off to CS to collect the actual disc. The case is not sealed as they open it up to put the disc in ! If you press them they may well allow you to change the game for something similar in the same dept. but that might not help you if you've returned the console and don't really want anything else.

They are more likely to be sticky about this as they can probably guess exactly why you are taking the stuff back for a refund. The games aren't cheap and you could end up out of pocket.

Ask the customer service assistant to write that it is a gift on the receipt so you are not sure if you have bought the correct thing. They are more likely to refund it if you have pre-warned them.
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

So if you are at CS in store wearing yellow Y - fronts with your right trouser leg at half mast , getting a refund ....then you' re in the masons ;)

Had mine SIGNED by the CS supervisor as the R&R had not worked. Took it back two hours later said I had bought the wrong thing. "look the supervisor agreed saw me earlier!!!"
