  • think your taking it way too seriously :) There would be no summons as its not illegal - its using the policy to the word.. not breaking or manipulating the policy afaik :s

    But ok no prob :p

Just want to have a good long R&R life :rotfl:

Always from where you bought it from. Tesco
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves
  • A summons to Martin ... on what grounds ?

Tesco might just do it just for the hell of it !!! I know it's not illegal but they really want to stop us !!

Dumb question, totally unrelated to xboxes etc.

I was given a dvd recorder earlier this year by Tesco for helping them identify incorrect shelf edge labels.

It's developed a fault, it won't play or record dvd's which means its uses are severely restricted i.e. holds down the carpet well.

The receipt doesn't mention r and r so I presume there shouldn't be a problem as it's still under warranty. Do I go back to Tesco or direct to the manufacturer?

    Cheers

Even if the receipt was marked as an R&R, it would not make a different to your Statutory Rights. If the item is faulty, you have the right to have it replaced or repaired. I would even argue that the money you were given back on the R&R was a gift rather than receipt of your money back, so you've still paid for the item, thus you could possibly even ask for a refund. Cheeky, I know...

Did anyone have a theory as to why they suddenly wanted everyone to fax a copy of their receipts ?, never had to do this before?

Surely we would be producing receipts at the store?

seems very odd to me and very susipicious

Your receipt tells a lot of tales.

Personallly, I think Tesco is more worried about Trading Standards than about us... ;)
