I wish I had known this!! Filet of fish meals always take ages!

hate to rain on your parade but ive had over £1000 of managent training from mcdonalds and this is a falicy many people belive it, but its not true!

it is true that with teh exceptions of some unpopular menu items (e.g. filet o' fish), freshly made sandwiches and special orders, the goal is to serev teh customer within 3 minutes, but thsi is an ideal goal and not a service promise! what if teh customer ordered 10 meals, could you do it in 3 mionutes? dont think so!

if you have waited a long time by all means speak to a manger and they do have teh power to refund and replace and provide free desserts too, but there is no hard fast rule on this, each individual case is taken on its own merit. to be honest, people who marched up to us going 'its your company policy to refund my meal after 3 minutes blah blah blah' would get teh absolute minimum which is a fresh meal. its better to be nice to people retahr than quoting stuff thats absolutely false.

I was a Restaurant Manageress for 4 years and it is completely untrue that you are automatically entitled to a free meal if you wait for 3mins (or even 20mins) for your order or it certainly was before I left (2 years ago). Automatically being an important word here as I'm sure any manager worth their salt would offer a refund after 20mins as a gesture of apology rather than a right.

Often people wait for food to be cooked as they have placed a special order meaning the item needs to be cooked specially for them. Fish is notorious for having to be cooked specially, the restaurant may be in an area that does not have the customer mix requiring them to be held already prepared like say Big Macs.

great, a spelling lesson from someone who cant spell! for your information, i have dyslexia and dyspraxia so dont always have wonderul control over teh keyboard and life is far too short to proof read everything i ever post on a chat forum isnt it?! didnt stop me getting a 2:1 in my 2nd year plus my management diploma did it?! (plus, when since was 'ppl' a word?!) id liek to see you pass those three exams, theyre really hard as you have to memorise a book full of stuff youd never have to use in real life otherwise and use a lot of complex mathematics too.

mcdonalds has very strict personal hygiene rules in place and its teh responsibility of managers to uphold these rules. i was very careful to make sure every singel rule was followed, i guess some managers arent as stringent as i was? doesnt mean you have teh right to call every single worker in every single mcdonalds does it?

mcdonalds employees get rubbish wages but have to put up with horrid, rude people like yourself every day, morons who coem out with things like 'i know your boss, hes called ronald, hehe!' bet youve used that one before eh? bet youve also shouted at a teenage girl and made her cry before now too? i cant count how many kids who worked there that i had to look after, after horrid customers had driven them to tears. no wonder maccies has such a high staff turnover, when pepel thing taht for £3.20 they buy teh right to treat someone like dirt on their shoe for ten minutes.

Must say all the macdonalds workers in the one near me are nearly all young and they do a bloody good job to say they are on a crap wage. Well done to them all I say!

There is a common misconception about McDonalds. A lot of folk think they are a fast food outlet when they aren't. They are a restaurant. As is BK and KFC.
