  • I've just noticed this today and have successfully printed out vouchers for £6.50 and I also got my friend to do it as well - and he got £5.00 too ! So thanks MSE - it's better in our pockets rather than Tesco !

Does anyone know if Tescos have stopped extending voucher expiry dates? I have £60 which I was wanting to save up for something big but expire end of March. In the past they would re-issue with extended 2 years. Now they won't do it. Not sure if it was the advisor I spoke to who wouldn't do it. She just insisted "you had 2 years to spend it..." Thanks.

I'd give another go .... no harm in asking.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard
  • I'm saving my tesco clubcard points towards a holiday and just found another £25 worth of vouchers on their website that I hadn't received -:j so another £75 added to my holiday!!
  • thanks to you Martin I have reclaimed £32 in vouchers as a result of Tesco not having my new address, and am going for a day out on Saturday to a National Trust property. Hooray:j

If the voucher has actually expired, you won't get it back. Tesco used to offer this purely on a discretionary basis in the past but stopped doing it a couple of years ago. If you think vouchers are going to expire before you use them, get them cancelled and reissued before the end date, then you'll get another 2 years out of them.

However, if the vouchers were still valid when you called, I'd call back and talk to them again about it, as the staff member was definitely wrong.

This is partly why so many people got a message with their Clubcard statements telling them they had unused vouchers and to check online to make sure they didn't lose them.

I just found £36.50 in expired vouchers at home. Rang Tescos and they agreed to reissue them next month. Def work asking. There was no problem in getting them to do it, very helpful.:T
  • I moved from coventry to shropshire and instead of changing my address i simply started using a new clubcard

I managed to find £18 worth of vouchers, much to the annoyance of the lady at the checkout :D

Why make vouchers with barcodes that don't scan?!

I know I should convert them for better offers but as Martin says, if you don't need it, don't buy it. I need food so I bought that instead.

    Thanks MSE!

Just found £29.00 in total, some of it going back almost 12 months. Thanks for the tip or it would certainly have been lost!
