Soon it will be bumper September according to EAs

Only a few more days to go until Sepetember - several of my local EAs are convinced that September will be a boom month when loads of buyers return from holiday and flood into their shops to snap up properties.

I suspect all the sellers on here can't wait to see September come - all your houses should be sold by Sept 30th.

Or do you think it is just a huge pile of EA horse manure?

    Horse manure is useful.

This, however, is a great big pile of stinking bullsh1t.

Why don't we review and discuss in October?
Be good to have something to base this on ;)

Not many sellers on here i don't think (well not this part of the forum)

My brother is an EA and as never said September is a good time for selling.
How many people fancy moving house at Christmas?
Also it is a time when people have less money to spend (EG Christmas again)

Best EA seasons in order are.
    Summer, Spring, Autumn, Winter.

What I find odd is that people go around talking to EA's for no real reason.
If my Bro was not an EA I would not talk to any!

Strange, I would have thought it was Spring, Autumn, Summer, Winter.
I guess the seasonality indexes would help to show which months are strongest

It picks up in Spring from the winter lull, but transactions usually peak in summer.
Don't forget they don't get paid usually until completion, so a sale to them is when it compleats.
So spring my be busier but mainly building up the pipeline.

Here is a look at transactions in more normal times :)

Most of the time it is the summer spring range, with summer being the peak.

they may have a bumper month or they may not have a bumper month...

those who reckon they can predict the future so vocally; obviously have a wish list or need house prices to fall in value so they can buy a house...

As house prices are down more than 40% 'round my way' now and interest rates are at an all time low, I would expect even the likes of the most bearish on moneyweek to be buying now.

I can't see September being a bumper month with big cuts budget revealed in October.

I'm sure there won't be many public sector workers buying then.

you've predicted falls every month for the past 3 years - you've got those very wrong... i thought that you would have learnt by now.

have you seen the latest figures from the LR for your local area Hounslow?

    trust me, you should.
