  • hi,

If your boss has any sense, he will know that 90% of the population would probably write 'don't let the ****** get you down' if they were thinking about work :D

as you say, serves him right for being nosey, I'm sure you'll be fine :D

re - your post yesterday, i can relate to the 'not knowing how long this will last' - I have flagged big time the last couple of days, thought it would come and it has. It's helping me think about what the priorities really are. Surprisingly, losing weight isn't as much of a priority as I thought! Keeping myself 'up' is though! :)

enjoy your work from home day, and hurrah for the carpets at last! :T

oh - and yes i would head straight to the MAC counter with a voucher too, I love their stuff :D what did you get?
  • ooh just noticed onto page 6 of my diary!! Whoever would've thought!!

You know what I am not at all worried about what he thinks anymore! What's done is done and I have actually done nothing wrong.

Do you think we are just being realistic about our 'ups and downs'. We all experience both and if we can learn how to handle both and learn not to dwell and think about things that's done and can't be changed well, little_h, I think we are well on our way to cracking it.

My priorities have completely changed too. Losing weight isn't a priority but what is is getting fitter to look after myself and to last a bit longer! To enjoy life and myself. I still look at myself in the mirror and don't like what I see but what I see is all my own doing and if I do all I can to better that view then I shall. And if I spoil everything in one day by overeating/drinking/underexercising then there's always tomorrow to pick up where I left off. That's right isn't it?!

Ooh the Mac stuff: I got a replacement Mineralize Skin Finish Natural pressed powder thing which I use instead of both transluscent powder and bronzer. Love it. I also needed foundation advice and have a tester of some 'Nov20 select SPF' whatever that is and some primer. God only knows how I am going to get used to these but I will give it a shot and I will, one day treat myself to a £25 makeover where you can redeem the £25 on makeup afterwards.

I really need to change my makeup because it is very natural looking and I haven't changed it for about 10 year!! And also since I radically changed my hair colour in November my makeup looks very non-existent so I think I need to pluck up the courage to do something about it.

Was a nice treat last night though and not one feeling of guilt! I did consider buying a present out of my vouchers but I needed a present for myself.

    How's your day been?

Ooh yeah, I have also downloaded a copy of the Shred. How often do you do it? How long is a session? I did see a bit where they were doing pressups and I can't even do one! I can't even lift myself!! ALthough I can do wall pressups which seem a bit of a cheat!

Right, off to run the bath and relax with me Keef Richards book!

    Take care

  • ooh your MAC haul sounds lovely! I have the Select SPF foundation, if its the same one as mine it works well on skin prone to oiliness as mine is!

not sure if yours is different, but at my counter (listen to me, my mac counter!) the £25 thing is only if it's for bridal makeup. Otherwise the makeovers are free. I have been a couple of times for help and ended up with a face full of new stuff, and of course I have then spent a fair bit! Once was for when I was going to an 80s fancy dress do for work, I went as a Robert Palmer girl from the Addicted to Love video. MAC had done a similar look the previous season so they told me all the things to use and how to do it (very different to how i look normally) - I came out with the scariest pink blusher you have ever seen but used in tiny quantities, it works for every day too :D

the shred - I bought mine for about a fiver off Amazon. If you are unfit, it is tough for the first couple of days then by day 3-4 you will notice a definite improvement. But, there is an easier/lower impact option and a more intense option. The warm up stretches are excellent, and the idea is that you never do the same thing for very long (great for my v low boredom threshold!). I figured it was worth a punt for a fiver, and am glad I got it. I try to do it every day, but have at least a day, sometimes 2 off per week. It only takes half an hour including warm up/cool down. I am completely converted and bang on to anyone who will listen! :D

btw - I still struggle with press-ups too, mostly because I broke my thumb badly a couple of years ago. But there is a good easier option where you kneel instead and just push your upper body up/down instead.

I am going to try Level 3 at the weekend - did Level 2 tonight and it was fine. Tough but doable!

enjoy your Friday at home - no doubt it will be a bit noisy but should all be worth it I hope :)

    Hi people,

    Lovely to meet you all.

I haven't had the chance to up date me diary for a few days. Intense days of working from home which yesterday lasted 11 hours so I am all to pot!

So much so, that I have woken up this morning (Tuesday) and thought it was flippin Saturday! Now that's bad.

Got that awful sinking feeling in my tummy too about going into work.

Not in the mood to face the boss, the unbearable silences and the fact that he will probably not like the stuff I have been working on.

Oh well, let's shake off this negativity by having a quick read of Keef Richards, a couple of pages then get up and face me demons.

At least when I am back in the office its easier to crack on with me diary.

See you all later (oh I really wish it was Saturday)

    Hi again!

Well this day didn't start as well I would've liked it to but it's not too bad just now.

I decided that I would go to work via Pret! I sat in and thoroughly enjoyed my 'milky filter and chocolate croissant' whilst sitting at the window and watched Newcastle city centre wake up and get started on the day!

Well I didn't get the chance to enjoy my favourite breakfast on Friday so I thought today would benefit. And it did!

Catching up with ridiculous emails and paperwork then going to get some training organised and sorted for later this week. So that's not too bad (I do actually hate training but it gets me out of this godforsaken 'morgue-like' office!)

Had an interesting chat with the Asbestos Removal foreman on site at our place and feel a lot better that I am now in the picture of what exactly is happening and why!

It comes to something when asbestos removal chat actually becomes interesting! I would still much rather be at home ironing or pottering!

Going to sort out my PAD, check bank a/c, c/c's, ebay and hopefully update my snowball this dinnertime. After I have walked down the stairs and back up again as part of my daily exercise!

I must look at my ebay situation. It really is quite dire at the moment. Things are selling really slowly and for starting price of 99p for the majority. In fact, I have never ever known it to be this slow but I have noticed a few new competitors selling for lower starting prices and free delivery which would make them have virtually no profit (probably less than 40p!). This does happen certain times of the year and they usually don't have the stamina to keep going so I will persevere and hopefully come up with a new line!! I don't think I am making my £5 a day and I have to try and make another £49 by the end of the month to crack that - oh, dear, me!!

Oh well, onwards and upwards as they say!

    Yay to new carpets!

Ebay can be so funny - I've been selling a lot more recently - I've cleared out loads which I've just been relisting and hasn't sold. Two items which I had on loads of times for £2.99 suddenly went for £11.10 each the other day! It's a tough month for many though, so hopefully your sales will pick up next month.

I don't start at 99p very often as I prefer to offer free postage where I can - it seems to get much better results!
