I have had enough of vista,so i have decided to upgrade to windows 7,in software4students i can have it for £38. ish.
I can have it has a download, so i could have it today,or have it on disc delivered.1 main problem with vista is you cant always find files you have downloaded,so i'm a bit unsure has to have the dvd delivered.
And will i find a improvement with my pc?(with windows7)

I have just moved from XP to W7, after avoiding Vista like the plague.
I am quite happy with W7, seems to be a logical progression on from XP, whereas Vista was an "evolutionary dead end" !0 -

Well, what problems are you experiencing with Vista that you're expecting Windows 7 to resolve?0 -
Everyone says theres this big leap from Vista to Windows 7
Theres not much in it to my mind:idea:0 -
I thought that The difference to Vista and 7 was that 7 was Vista on a Diet, didn't eat all your resources as much, and more stable. I have Vista other than software conflicts which as AVG.Zonealarm and my browsers, Vista hasn't been a direct cause of a problem.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

PS, Use a half decent browser like Firefox and set it to always download to the desktop. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
When it was released Vista was unfinished and full of holes. Post-SP2 it's a perfectly serviceable OS. The selling of Windows 7 to Vista users as a must-have upgrade is another triumph for the Marketing Department.0

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
The only success Vista ever registered was the huge increase in sales to :-
- Linux
- Mac's
- etc
and the regression for Windows devotees back to WinXP. Even the worlds biggest box shifters couldn't sell it pre-installed. If it barks like a dog, and runs like a dog - it's a dog !
Win7 is what Vista should have been.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
