    I didn't get it! :(

Basically I done the best presentation, but lost out on the compentency based questions as other candiates that applied have used the systems I would be training. I've always been under the impression that a good trainer can train anything.. wether they know the systems or not! But there you go!

Hope the other peeps that have interviews are more successful then me!!!

    Hi K9

Sorry to hear about the job, but if they can't see past the need for the specific competency, rather than looking at you as a general trainer, then that is their loss! Eventually, they will wake up and realise that if they had employed more general trainers of the right calibre, they would have saved a fortune on employing "experts" in each individual field!!

Anyway, moving on, I wish you luck for the internal role.:T I also believe that things happen for a reason, so maybe this was the reason that you were unlucky in the original application...

    Fingers crossed!:D

Thanks everyone! Well I know a lot of internal jobs already have someone "penciled" in.. but the willingness of accepting my late application when they didn't have to makes me think they haven't!!!

I would say that a willingness to accept a late application could say exactly that...who knows, maybe you will be that "internal" person...!!;)

  • Put a positive spin on every question they ask and back it up with an example if need be. I have just had a second interview and am waiting the outcome for my dream job, best of luck to you

Just an update.. but firstly how did everyone else do with there interview??

Okay.. well I have a personality test and interview on 20th Oct! I really have gotta nail this interview malarky so I'm gonna get a good book (prob the one recommended earlier!!).

Wish me luck! If I pass that then it's down to a 30 min assessment!
