Give Arighi Bianci in Macclesfield a try. http://www.arighibianchi.co.uk/index.php

I had been looking for a leather sofa for sometime and just couldn't find something I really liked. My ds who lives in that neck of the woods took me there and what an experience. It is an old silk mill with loads of good quality furniture (the cafe is awesome too).

I bought the Lauren leather sofa (4 seater and a chair). Took delivery of it a couple of weeks ago. I have to say it is really really comfy and I am thrilled to bits. :j Believe me I don't part with money easily but I didn't even flinch at paying for this.

If you do buy obviously sale time is best and they are prepared to negotiate a bit too. The staff are really helpful and will take their time with you.

They rang to arrange delivery and gave me a time window of two hours (which they met) and I live over 100 miles away. Cannot speak highly enough of them.

Next time I want furniture this will be the first place I go to.

We bought our 3 seater and 2 seater leather sofa's from Harvey's about 5 years ago, and they still look like new.

I bought a pair of Thomas Lloyd Chesterfield two seater sofas about 15 years ago.At £400 each they were cheaper than anything else so I stuck with them for 8 years or so until someone offered me a second hand pair of sofas which were just different class ie much softer to sit on and the leather was much more supple too.I became aware what i was missing. The Lloyds were durable for sure but not comfy at all beacuse of the hard foam they use, so i flogged them for the same amount I paid the replacements thus losing nothing. Two years ago i decided i wanted a 2 and a 3 seater so bought my World of leather pair for £1200 .For me they are the dog's cojones

I just bought this yesterday oops I mean Friday

I got 3 seat settee, reclining chair and chair for £1,600ish less vouchers

I looked around and price didn't seem bad this is leather

It says 60% off obviously I dont always take that at face value that said I got 10% off with using BH card and no interest for 6 months I tend to pay later in cash. Also £160 of vouchers for BHS or shops within the group like Dorothy Perkins which will be sent later

  • we love our multiyork leather sofas. 2 Years old and still amazingly comfy and look great. Expensive but worth it. Very good experience from start to finish and would use again.

I love the shape of this

But HATE HATE HATE the padded arms.

Anyone seen a curvy one like this without padded arms?

We've bought 2 sofa's from Sofasofa and are very happy with them. We certainly couldn't afford to pay £1000 plus for a 2 seater sofa so these were our budget. ALso I'm not sure I'd want a sofa to last 10 years plus, tastes and styles change and I know I'd get fed up with the same old thing. They're made in Britain as well which really pleases me!

Glad you are happy, the sofa that they tried to deliver to me snapped in half as they took it off of the van, never again, waste of space company.

I got a cheap sofabed from Courts (they went bust about 12 months later!). Because of working away, I only used it 2 days a week. After 5 years it creaked and groaned when I sat on it. Had I used it daily it would've been broken long before. So beware of cheap furniure.

If you're near Bucks, then Lucas World of furniture is great, and we love our new sofa and chairs.
  • How comfy are the Aspen cushions? Are they firm, soft? Also, has anyone used the 21 day return thing with Thomas Lloyd? Thanks.
